He wasn't a crook; he was just embarrassed. Likewise, I'm sure that Howard was scrambling to figure out what to do to avoid closing down.

It's hard to admit failure. I'm sure--knowing Howard--that their intentions were good.

Cohen is not the President of the US Ken :winkwink: The ex-President's aim was not to get caught getting a blowjob. Cohen's aim was to earn a dollar while covering problems going back months.

Tho sure... admitting failure and timely communication comes from experience. Cohen did neither for a number of weeks and clearly had no contingency plan (also lack of experience).

Since declaring a closedown, rebills are still happening. Which is it? Can Cohen make up his mind whether he's still functioning or ceased trading?? If the latter, it's time to clean up, give full access to the data of his "valued clients" and appoint a liquidation administrator to secure all client funds and arrange distribution among the creditors.

Rebill clients at Paymonde !

Rebill clients at Paymonde !

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

hi guys,

some thoughts about this situation at paymonde.
I think the biggest loss is our rebill clients and of course the amount over 20k what paymonde owes us now.

that was simple not fair from paymonde to turn off our admin area.

We didnt even had the possibility to cancel all our clients there and move them over for example to ccbill.

If we send right now an email to all paymonde clients how can we explain them how and where they are able to cabcel their memberships? All of them will ask if their memberships was cancelled before they would sign up at a new processor for our sites again.

Do you have any suggestions how we could handle this for our existing and rebill paymonde clients?

For your help thx in advance.

kind regards

Everybody who hasn't gotten paid should contact me asap. We have a solution to resolve this matter but it will affect only those who join our group of paymonde victims (no credit card needed! :winkwink:).

I really insist on the fact that this is not a waste of time and we will get results pretty fast. Those who haven't done so already should send me an e-mail to porn at pamporn dot com (we use spamarrest) and get a BIG chance at getting something back...

I'm doing all I can for the community so please people, work with me on this one.

Same here.

I received a reply(ies) from Howie, but he has yet to...

1. Send payment.

2. Provide access back to my administration area.

But it's nice of him to let me know he has read my e-mail.

IN SIMPLE TERMS, your fucked.

1. should paymonde actually give you a list of your rebills, whos to say that your future processor will allow it.

2. careful how you make this appear to your cutomers...do it the wrong way, and the credibility of your site is fucked. people will say" how the fuck can i trust them with my personal financial info and my surfing habits".

majority of rebills are people who forget they are being rebilled. Enjoy the ride while it lasted and start over.

What I did:
hired 3 people who literally sit in front of the pc in shifts waiting on incoming emails /live chat requests.

killed all access to all members, gave them 2 options. either email to find out why....or use the live chat feature to directly chat with someone in real time.

telling all my customers to cancel their current accounts and giving them 2 months of free access, using the" since they are a preferred customer, we are giving back for the holdiays....and that " were upgrading to a new server with a higher security ( like people know what the fuck a server is and what it does ) so they need to cancel their credit card subscription since it wont apply to the new server settings.

This statement always cracks me up. Starting with the word "majority".

No offense intended. Just wanted to comment on a common myth.

I sent an email as well. Paymonde only owes me 3k I used them just for video sales. I did not use them for my members. So I am not only out the cash but the merchandise that I have already delivered. Paymonde worked great for me with no problems until last week. I called them and they told me I should see some sort of payment in three weeks. I sure hope this is true. I am not holding my breathe.

Replied to Lisa and Jetp. Thanks!

As for my site being a celeb site: I've been running it for 9 years and never had a problem. When a celebrity asks me to pull him/her photos or sex tape, I do it. Never got sued. Furthermore, my site isn't the issue here.

Never knew brands could enter into contracts, but hey, ya learn something new every day. Today I learned that if your name is Howard Cohen, any old name you can think of can enter into contracts with clients :pimp

We are a European based provider of merchant accounts to the adult industry. For every merchant account we sign up, there is a 3-way contract in place between the merchant, the processor (Interconsult Group) and the bank itself. This ensures that the merchant knows exactly who he is dealing with. We also use a 3rd party Escrow bank to hold all merchant funds which we have no title to. This is to provide additional security to the merchant should anything ever happen to our own business.

If I can be of any help at all, or provide general information on the payments side of the business, please get in touch

Regards

Vince

Yep. The hierarchy is something like..

1. VISA
2. Merchant Bank
3. Processor
4. Client/Webby

Thanks.

Hi Everybody,

Thanks to all of you who sent me their info and moneys owed by paymonde.
The case is now in the hands of a very reputable and influent legal rep. The kind of reputation that makes your knees shake just by the bare mention of his name.
You will all get a generic e-mail with complete details along with information on what really happened to paymonde and where our money went.
Please contact me if you want to be part of this. You're still on time.

There continue to be sporadic reports of Paymonde actually disbursing some funds, but they are just that --- sporadic and unconfirmed. The vast majority of their clients remain unpaid and unable to access their information on the now defunct Paymonde site. It's been over a month since most people received a single cent!

Miura 12-01-2006 08:41 AM

I was paid 30% on my money two weeks ago and two guys in our group got 2k each. I'm up to date on payments but I won't let anybody down. They have paid out several others as well. They still owe me 7k. The story isn't over yet...

Thank you, Alex! Some of us -- notably those who brought the Paymonde fraud to the attention of a larger public (esp. the estimable Barefootsies) -- have NOT been paid nor have we been given access to our members database. I think we all understand that the only way these sleazy low-life scumbags will ever fulfill their obligations is through legal action. How sad is that?

But there's a bright side. They are finished finished finished in this business. People like me and Barefootsies and Webby and, you, Alex will make sure that they never have an opportunity again to rip-off hard-working and dedicated webmasters.

At this point, Howie and Nort and the rest of the sleazebags have ONE chance. They can pay what they owe and communicate fully with ALL ex-Paymonde webmasters OR they can spend the rest of their lives being outed as thieves and thugs on this and a hundred other forums.

2 Miura:
Sorry to post it on the board, but don't see other ways out.
Alex, what's up?
I send you emails from my main and even from another email addresses during a MONTH! All of em are unresponded, although earlier you had no problems with my messages.
Be so kind to respond me. My ID at paymonde is 1386, hope you still have my email address from our previous correspondence.

[email protected] is NOT my email address and I DO respond to everybody.

Legal action takes time, especially when the case goes cross border. The holidays have just finished and some lawyers don't even start working until January 7th. I understand that some of you would really like to see their money now, but I can't make things go any faster.

Has anybody taken legal/criminal action and got faster result? Even Canadians? I think not. If so, please share the experience.

The second post was to att. Vince Charlton from iConsultPay.com, and it was with quote from his message.

Legal action takes time - it is understandable. However let me say that even the only response to all numerous emails to you (to your CORRECT address: porn - pamporn - com) during the month - might much take the strain off. Let me hope we will have no problems with emails in future.

RegUser 01-08-2007 04:32 PM
