No deal, ofcourse. Only a big mouth. Pathetic.

And what hypocrisy retard? Care to back up something or are you just all talk?

scottybuzz 12-07-2006 07:34 AM

franck stfu, i want your army of sigwhores to troll me. come on sigwhore leader.

Trixxxia 12-07-2006 07:37 AM

I personally would like to see the 'Thread of the day' prizes come back. Maybe have sponsors rearrange that idea into a 'contest'
Everyday - reward three FANTASTIC threads - voted by people viewing and discussing (keep the IP issue managed too so all the ghost nicks don't come in to vote for nonsense). If you take away the financial benefit for people to post in threads - they'll find another forum to go disturb :) Setting the bar higher - getting the 'brilliant' lurkers to come out of hiding too.

There was a time on GFY when people outdid themselves to think out of the box - start intelligent, coherent threads - if you knew your stuff, it was a POOL of fantastic tips & great discussions.

Now it's a competition on how inSIGnificant each post can be in order to maximize the posts made to get more sigs viewed and clicked. Sad really. I was hoping Playboy would turn this ship around and bring up the standards.

Come on TD - shake it up a little.

Either daily prizes or a point system. When they earn enough 'GREAT THREAD' points, they can exchange it for an item.

Jman 12-07-2006 07:51 AM

I suspected fraudulent activity in our last contest thread and contacted TD. We investigated and found out 12 GFY id's had the same IP address from India.

We decided at LoveDollars that those id's that won the 100$ post WON'T be paid and that the money will be donated to Charity.

What sucks is now our next contest the rules will be tighter then ever.

Many thanks to TD. He's there for us, listens to us and always willing to help.

I love doing business with GFY. Kudos to you guys.

Ban the cheaters and expose the cheaters.-

Good job, the only way to weed them out is for the sponsors to take action :thumbsup

TD, great thread, and I am going to throw my 2cc here!

Okay, some may consider me just as a contest whore and such, but for you who think i make living from gfy and contests that all over the place, I just have to tell you to GFY. Anyways what I wanted to tell is that in those contests there are many, if not more 80%, surfers and just classic sigwhores. Not to mention bots and fucking dual nicks...you won't believe it, but I am sure those surfers at least have another nick!! That's actually the proven fact, you can notice it from the posts of those tards!
The biggest issue with contests is that they don't bring anything constructive on this board, but just attract those fucking surfers to register and post for EASY money! Hell, 100 bucks is more than enough for one college boy who live in parent's house and whine all day long to get some pocket money from his/her parents...hell wouldn't you be happy with easy (free) money? Of course, everybody would!

The fact that kills the whole idea of contests, which is btw. idea to reward loyal webmasters for giving support of the program, is that there are only few webmasters that actually post in those threads....

People who are not webmasters don't have to be able to even view/read this board, not to mention to register and fucking post for free money!!! TD, I am sure you can make registration process a little bit different and allow only REAL webmasters to register!

The other thing is to have all those dual nicks banned!! You can clearly check if somebody uses a dual nick...just look at the posts and at the ips...if they are however different, just check whether the one of them is proxy and that's it.

Third is to make a 'trick' that would owe those contest bots. You should be able to get an info from the HTTP Post request and notice whether somebody uses bot or not, shouldn't be that hard to detect.

And so on, and so on!

My basic point is: Allow contest but only allow REAL webmasters who have actually been in this biz for some time and have at least some background behind them to post there and show their support for the certain programs!!

That's it....jusy my 2cc...

P.S
Sorry for typos if i have some :)

I wish more sponsors would emulate the Silvercash contest they did about a year and a half ago, the scavenger hunt deal. It was questions based on info you'd find within their affiliate area, shit like that.

Ben.Z 12-07-2006 08:18 AM

Cheaters should be exposed. Simple as that. :thumbsup

I was sure there was something funny goping on bnut didn't have any proof.

Maybe it's because you don't post enough. :winkwink:

spasmo 12-07-2006 09:58 AM

I still think there should be a requirement that a certain sales threshold must be met for contests to be paid out (like Satan Cash did).

No sales to the sponsor? No money for you!

14,000 of their 15,000 postcount are from posting in contest threads.

Other than that, it's pretty obvious the one's winning those contests are people using multiple nicks and bots. They're easy to spot too, because you'll see 3 or 4 nicks all registered on the same day like 1 year ago, using the same exact sig, and never see those nicks in threads other than contests.

I believe Firehorse is a webmaster

BradM 12-07-2006 10:57 AM

Not sure how any company thinks contest threads are worth the $ it costs them. They certainly don't get the return out of it.

How many times are those 12 nicks listed as winners in the last Pussy Cash claim thread?

http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showthread.php?t=684191

Any contest regular will tell you there was something very suspicious about that thread.

The dispute is if Firehorse and born4porn are the same person or not.

I haven't seen much suspicious stuff with prize posts involving those two names (such as back to back all the time), so it's really kind of a moot point for now.

Every time in the past, when I have shut down contest threads that were breaking the rules in just about every single way, there were some sponsors that got REALLY pissed off and complained to those above me. Now, I can understand top sponsors wanting views and mentions. But is it really worth it when the VERY few are leaching thousands out their pockets per month???

I don't want to start killing off contests run by GFY's top sponsors, but I really think it's time to start shit-canning the contest whores, and start publishing exactly just how often they are stealing money from the sponsors from the "legitimate" webmasters here on GFY. And if it comes right down to it, I don't have ANY problem with publicly posting the actual IP's and email addy's of those that are only making any money in adult as post whores.

If you are a GFY top sponsor and running contests, don't hesitate in hitting me up (my contact info is in my sig). I don't have ANY problem in auditing any contest thread for the GFY Top Sponsors, that will weed out those that are cheating, using multiple nicks, using automated (bot) software, not following the rules, or ANY violation of GFY's rules. And I don't have any problem banning the offender's, their IP's, or their domains for life.

As far as I know they are 2 totally different people who partner together in doing biz.
