They're not a simple host for everyone that doesn't understand.

It's a fantastic tool though. Imagine what intricate calculations you can do on their virtually unlimited server grid.

Sun has had such a service for years, but the price was $1/hour per server instance compared to $.10 in this case.

Amazon will also open up distribution centres and allows you to data mine their years of sales data.

And at those prices, when some idiot on any one of the boxes runs a script that screws everything up, amazon will take about 3 weeks to respond.
