He is fucked in his head mother fucker !!!!! :disgust

I have lots of Jewish friends who install Christmas Trees in their houses just because it's beautiful and has nothing to do with any religion . It's just a symbol of a winter holidays season.
I actually asked two of my friends for their opinion regarding that matter and they said that the guy was a religion fanatic and an idiot.

Joey Skulls 12-11-2006 11:36 AM

Amen to that!

"If you go and ask 100 people around the world and ask them what they think about when you mention "christmas", not even one single person would mention a fucking menorah."

And if you ask 100 people around the world what they think if you mention "chanukah", not even one single person would mention a fucking christmas tree. And just like it's christmas time, it's chanukah time. So relax, and make some sense.

A giant menorah would have been as dumb as a tree, though. No need for giant religious monuments scattered around public spaces. Surreal and insane all around.

And for all the people who are taking this as a strike against jews, your ignorance is really ridiculous and pathetic. That people still are willing to make sweeping judgments shows what a failure of a job parents are doing by not exposing their children to other cultures. You end up with assholes with predispositions looking for an amount of evidential cases they can probably count on one hand. Prejudices are always inherited and nurtured. You people have to learn to think for yourselves, and stop weakly hiding in majority crowds and beliefs.

No one relate christmas to a menorah except thieves.
There you go.

alexg 12-11-2006 12:40 PM

you're all missing the fucking point...
the rabbi asked to put a menorah in the airport... that's legitimate.
he never asked to remove any christmas trees...

tenletters 12-11-2006 12:40 PM

this is still in the news today and everytime i see it, I dislike religion just a little bit more. I'm sure millions of jews out there could give fuck less about trees being up but one retard rabbi who wants attention threatens to sue and fucks up the spirit of the holidays.

Guess I'd rather not see trees up than have to put up with kwanza figures setup next to them with little muslem glitter lights adorning the whole bastardization. Oh and fuck jesus fanatics too

_Richard_ 12-11-2006 12:40 PM

that's outrageous.. lets go take the 98% of children that won't be able to grasp why there isnt' a tree in the airport this year to visit the rabbi!

he threatened to sue if the symbol wasn't put up... to avoid that the airport took down the trees. How did he not force the issue? The airport obviously didn't want the jewish symbol up. Hard to argue since christmas isn't a jewish holiday. Will the Easter Bunny have give away dradels from now on? Hell why not force people to add "JEWS ROCK" lettering to any green colors worn on ST Patrick's day?

Thats what this thread should be about. But instead it's a Jew bashing thread evidently.

Tom, sorry, but you miss the point entirely.

The Rabbi complains, so they add a $50 Menorah. Then the arab guy comes in and says something about there not being something about allah... then the hindus come in and they have about 280 different gods... suddenly it isn't an airport anymore, but a bunch of religeous symbols overwhelming the original christmas display, which wasn't particularly religeous to start with.

If christmas was only a religeous holiday, then I would say "hey, knock yourselves out, fight the power man". But really, the entire US (and canada, and many other countries) look at this as a non-secular holiday, a day off, a day to exchange presents, no different from a birthday or celebrating New Years Eve.

It is insulting to everyone that this Rabbi cannot accept that not all people are like him, and that in real life, we don't all get equal time (and if he doesn't like it, he might want to go to Iran and try lighting the Menorah... he should be thankful for all the freedom he has in the US, not pissed out because he thinks someone else might have gotten a little more freedom this week).

12clicks 12-11-2006 12:59 PM

to all you morons who think the menorah is put on display because of christmas, I suggest you go out and buy your first book, then find someone to read it to you.
Get one on hanukkah

you forgot ..... :

- Or I will sue .....

BTW, why didn't he meet the persons in charge before, to discuss that ...

Christmas Trees came as a surprise to him ... A first I presume...

Any trees in YOUR local mall in Tel-Aviv ?

nikad 12-11-2006 01:20 PM

There is this religion in this country, they celebrate a religious day in december, the symbol they use to represent it is a big giant cock.... should that one be at the airport too? Definetly and right next to every Xmas tree! Have some common sense bwahhahahaha :upsidedow
Americans: they cannot put a xmas tree, cannot say merry xmas... and this is just a sample of the many things you are not allowed to do anymore (land of the freedom or land of the sueing?)

sextoyking 12-11-2006 01:23 PM

I have no problem with christmas trees per say but I don't support any religious symbols in public - tax payer supported places.

I will have to support the rabbi on this. Either it's open to all or to none. I would prefer none...

The airport is paid and used by all segments of the public..

Shalom :)

Tanker 12-11-2006 01:25 PM

No they aren't. Prejudices are not inherited, and certainly not as a hereditary factor. Prejudices are mostly formed by people's real life experiences, through which they determine certain characteristics or traits - good or bad - are more prevelant in certain ethnicities than others. Sure there are exceptions to any rule but personal experience forms people's beliefs.

With today's PC culture being shoved down people's throats through the media, the 'majority crowds and beliefs' is to tip-toe around the truth.

Hmmmm...interesting how many people thing a Christmas tree has anything to do with religion other than being used for a decoration at that time of year. In reality it's a million miles from being any kind of Christian symbol. That said if so many these days are dumb enough to believe it to be one does that in fact now make it one?

12clicks 12-11-2006 01:50 PM

yeah, ok. you've got it all figured out. The millions of christians who celebrate the birth of christ with a christmas tree have it wrong.:1orglaugh

Rhino22 12-11-2006 01:53 PM

The problem isn't jews. It's religion. And that's a fact, even though many are in denial still.

a christmas tree is not, at least in my opinion, a religious symbol.

If the airport had a crucifix and/or nativity scene up then perhaps I could see putting a star of david up. But to be PC the floodgates would soon be opened for so many others religious shit... WWWW - what would wiccans want

Oh and 12clicks, shut your filthy jew mouth! But before that , I wouldn't mind hearing a little background as to what a manora is for .. if I am right, the manora is the candle thing and you light a candle for each day of hanukah... but I don't get out much so lmk. Also, wtf is Hanukah all about? I know it's a jewish holiday but what's it celebrating?

well the tree has it's roots in other beliefs but just like christmas, the christians took the tree for their own adding the word christ to it of course.

Hell none of them can even agree on when christ was actually born, if he was, but that didn't stop them from taking a pagan holiday season as their own.

But I'm with you.. I've never once thought of jesus when looking at a christmas tree... santa sure, but not jesus.

I don't know how or why but I blame canada for all this

Actually, they do. What the fuck does a christmas tree have to do with Jesus? Did he fall out of a tree once?

The holiday of "Yule" dates back to over 3000 years before the fictional son of your 'god' was born.

My favorite part of this whole fiasco was the 'fuck you' by the ticket counter agents.

Quote:

After the removal, some airline workers decorated ticketing counters with their own miniature Christmas trees.

Customer service agents with Frontier Airlines pooled their money Monday morning to buy four 1-foot-high Christmas trees, which they placed on the airline's ticketing counter. Atop a Delta counter, workers put up a tree several feet tall.

The airlines lease space for ticket counters from the airport, and can display trees there if they want, Reis said.
