How is that possible?

heywood 12-12-2006 11:23 PM

Yeah it feels pretty sweet right now, that sucks some dude on here died from it already, so I wont be the first.

I feel ok so far, but I'm in the beginning stages of everything so who knows how far it can go. The doc says they can go away in 3-4 weeks, but that's pretty much "miracle" talk, its more likely to be a couple months or more.

I got the shot, and some antibiotics, and I have to come in and get it drained a few times. That should be a real fuckin picnic. I'll keep posting pics as they come.

heywood 12-12-2006 11:33 PM

Cyko was nice enough to photoshop this for me

50 spider-bitten puss pockets

heywood 12-13-2006 09:59 AM

what's wierd is, today, (so far anyway) it looks worse, but feels better. It still certainly hurts, but not as much as yesterday. We'll see after I start walking around a little, but its kinda wierd. I wonder if it is supposed to hurt less. :banana

yea hobo spiders are infamous here in Oregon. Now is when they want in your house real bad. Rain and sleet.

Reading this makes me not let my legs get too far under my desk...

Wilsonville, I have no idea where that is, is it eastern? central?

What would you do if a Spider that size was in your house? I'm thinking of moving to the USA. If I saw a spider I'd hit it with something to kill it. Is that what everyone else does?

seeric 12-13-2006 10:15 AM

i killed a few of those in my house in tampa. definitely mean. they are fast fuckers too. i tried to hit it with a shoe and it took the shoe and smacked me back with it. i had to spray sneaker cleaner on him to kill him.

bastards. thats one of the reasons i moved back from florida. to many goddamn bugs.

Probably because the nerves are dying. Don't screw around, get that taken care of.

AssPirate 12-13-2006 10:18 AM

I wonder if the hobo spider bit the naughty err... bits.

I think I'd curl up in a ball on the floor, paralyzed with fear. That's fucked.

If I walked into my house and saw that on my wall, I'd move far away, ha ha.

I'm fortunate to live up in Upper Michigan, where we don't get anything like that.

Vex 12-13-2006 10:25 AM

I'm not going to repost the pictures that volante posted cause they are just so wrong on many levels, but that just damn creepy! I would die if I saw that on my wall.

I hope you get better soon heywood! Take care of yourself

Its a very small town just south of portland. I'm about 15 mins from downtown. Where are you at?

Here is today's image, not too bad.

And Dagwolf, you're probably right about the nerves. I never thought of that. The muscles and joints still hurt, but the wound itself hurts less. I'm following the doctors orders, and taking a bunch of meds and keeping it really clean (which is fucking painful, but I gotta do it).

And asspirate, no I didnt get bit in the junk. Thank fucking god. Its about 6 inches from my shit though, and that is just scary. Hard to imagine what the action plan would be if the spider decided to crawl up further before I smashed it. I'd probably be a fucking eunich by now.

The day I found and caught my black widow, a hobo spider ran right by my leg and up inside my computer...the hobo escaped..the black widow is still in her cage.

I like spiders, I just don't want to be bit by them.

Keep that wound clean

RogerV 12-13-2006 02:12 PM

VicD 12-13-2006 02:17 PM

Yeah, I went to the doctor to get the lowdown on it, and got some keflex, and I have to go back in friday. So far, it hasnt been bad. I am keeping it very clean, no matter how painful, and takin care of it.

My doctor said to take hot baths, as somehow that helps with drawing the antibiotics to the wound. Doesnt hurt to try.

Im actually not positive that this one here is a Hobo, its either that, a wolf spider or a recluse. Reguardless, not good to be bitten by
