We have laws based on german civil law and some others -- check cia.gov / world fact book. We are not using new or old islam laws. This is a laic (french word) country. Turkey doesnt have a religion as a country, people have.

Don't know about him, but personally I'm love to spend my vacations in Turkey. What do you mean on "sworn enemies"? Every year Turkey earns lot's of money from Russian tourists. On the other hand, there are many-many Turkeys who work in Russia. I believe it's profitable for both countries - Turkeys get a good and reliable work (mostly on building sites) and Russia gets a cheap man power. So "enemies" in an obsolete word I believe...
