Statistically, it's almost certain that most of the people in this thread have been exposed to the HPV virus. :helpme * assuming webmasters are sexually-active.

As far as the HPV vaccine, it only protects you against 2 out of 16 strands of HPV. So even if you have the vaccine and it works as it is supposed to, you still have a high chance of contracting one of the other 14 strands of the virus... all the while taking great chances with unknown long-term side effects of the vaccine. The good thing is that most, if not all, states have a religious exemption. Parents can fill out a form stating that they have religious beliefs against vaccinations and proof of vaccinations will not be required for school. The only downside to this exemption is that if you choose to use it, you cant get any vaccines, otherwise the exemption wont apply. Some states also have a philosophical exemption, which allows you to pick and choose the vaccines you get for your kids. |

Another reason to keep your children out of the public school system.

Brought to you by the same fuckers that made you get vaccinated against polio.

I think it should be done everywhere. I have this virus and can't get rid of it. I wished my daughter wouldn't have that problem.

Don't you think a woman would like to take the risk of the knew vaccine to prevent the future generation from that desase? |
Before these H.P.V commercials that are on about every 30 seconds, when else have you heard of H.P.V?
Me, never. Not once before those commercials. I don't plan on getting it and my daughter will not get it, if at some point they tell her she needs to. They tell you that you need this this and this for your children to be safe, but you have no clue what they are injecting into your kids, and I don't feel too safe about that. I don't know enough about this H.P.V epidemic to inject my daughter so I'm not. For all the parents who say " any parents not considering this is stupid" bla bla bla. Doctors don't know everything, so don't always take their word at face value. And trust your government...nah I don't think so. I'm better off looking after myself, thanks. |

Eisenhower recommended, under advice from the Surgeon General, that the Congress enact legislation for a polio vaccination program. I'm not against the vaccine. I'm against a politician bypassing the legislative process, under dubious circumstances, to mandate that the HPV vaccination be given to all the 11 and 12 year-old girls in Texas. |
the totalitarian 2 step..next will be you must get this chip under your skin because we want to protect you from bird flu terror disease..the Gov. doesn't give 2 shits about anyones health or well being..why would this be any different..freedom, isn't it a beautiful thing..
be scared get this shot because obviously you not strong or smart enough to realize its all in your head anyways.. |

I still do not believe giving my daughter a shot when her reproductive system is developing is a good thing. By the time she gets to that age, my mind may change - if there are problems with the shots, hopefully by then there will be enough 'cases' to allow me to judge the risks & benefits better. I do not think that the government knows what's best for my children. I do not think that the government knows my children's medical history hence they should not be 'blanket' recommending it - (I read that you do have the choice to refuse it). |
