Exactly. Doing such robbing actions using several accounts at once (and this didnt happened for the first time) rather implies that epass had some serious security issues or there are some insiders doing this. I dont belive that some Joe Hacker is going after computers of unknow people and can get easily their epass passwords.
That Joe Hacker was able to withdraw from ATM by epassporte card 2.5k in one day, when there is limit 500 usd for normal account.
For higher limit, even for bigger P2P transactions, everyone must provide to Epassporte his own ID card. So Epassporte has his ID, however they do shit about it and they dont even show in this thread anymore.
Nothing against Micheal from Epassporte, he is really helpful here, but he is only some guy there at Epassporte.

Lack of competition. :)

You would think someone from epassporte would come into this thread to stop allegations of hacking woundn't you? unless they did get hacked

James_Hotmovies 02-15-2007 06:42 AM

I've been using epass for a while and have never had a problem.

I've had two affiliates that got hacked and lost money over the course of that time.

Zester 02-15-2007 02:15 PM

this would be a good time for someone from epass to tell us what the hell is going on

split_joel 02-15-2007 03:28 PM

They will not respond again, and if they do it will be some lame excuse about how its out of there control.

nordberg25 02-15-2007 05:33 PM

This is bullshit, my account was hacked into back in mid 2006 the guy got $500. Then I changed my username and password opened a new account, with a username that I never use for anything, and a password that is random numbers and letters. I told them when I opened the new account that I specifically wanted all p2p transfers blocked. They set me up with a limited account and that was one of the limitations.

I am convinced this is an inside job, I get payments at all different times of the month, so what, somebody logs in every day, and just happens to log in right when I get paid? No f'ing way. Somebody on the inside would have had to unblock my p2p transfer limitation, and know when I got a big transfer loaded to my account, as I always pull my money out as soon as it gets there. This scumbag new about the funds before I did, and I initiated the payments to my account they day before.

They just got away with another 1350 dollars. They should be 100% responsible for this as my account was set up as a limited account. I will never use epassporte again, one hack is enough, but twice. Absolute bullshit.

Is there any legal action here or is this just another offshore legality bs issue. Epassporte is a pretty big company, I can't see how this can go on, and on, and on. Their security is prehistoric imo.

rapmaster 02-15-2007 05:57 PM

Thanks fr the heads up everyone, cancelling my account immediately.

My account also has p2p transactions disabled and they made three p2p transfers from my funds.

Starting to sound more and more like the latter.

chupacabra 02-16-2007 10:14 PM

i emptied my entire epassporte account after the neteller bust recently and their refusal to address their involvement in the online gambling industry, and how that could put our funds at risk. won't be using them again and won't be surprised to hear that they get locked up along w/ lots of peoples funds in the near future.

heres to transparency in the money handling business.. :/

Agreed. Too many issues to be a "coincidence".

Yep, they survive because there's no serious alternatives out there.

dready 02-19-2007 10:25 AM

I haven't seen any ePass reps post in any of these security / theft threads at all.

balas 02-19-2007 10:59 AM

If you have a lot of money to invest ... it is a good time to open an epassporte's competition now.

PS: I have to go now - ATM is waiting for my epassporte card...

gambling911-dot-com/Online-Gambling-ePassPorte-Security-Flaws-021407-dot-html (switch the -dot- to periods and add www if you need to, i don't have 30 posts)

This article is dated 2/14

Seems like everything happened on 2/12 and 2/13

Bits and pieces are starting to come together here, there are many more out there I believe.

I still don't understand how thousands of dollars can be withdrawn the same day. I can't withdrawl more than $620 from my atm a day. So even if I wanted to get all my money out at once, there is no way to do it. I had two payments come in on the same day for over $1k and it was gone before I even got to the atm.

Still no answer from epassporte either, promised an answer yesterday, then today... uncalled for

You can withdraw even 5k a day by Epassporte from ATM, but you have to provide copy of your ID to Epassporte.
So if that guy withdrew it in one day , Epassporte have to know his identity.

I agree... I transfer money from epassporte to my bank as soon as it gets into my epassporte acct... no reason whatsoever anyone should ever have a high balance in their epassporte account. You are asking to get screwed.

And for those people who submit their epassporte credit card numbers to pay monthly recurring services like hosting servers or statsremote - bad idea because it forces you to hold a balance in your epassporte acct. I use my regular credit cards for those services - and I earn points on those credit cards, something that epassporte doesnt offer, plus they are more reliable.

Only use epassporte as a shortterm go-between your sponsors and your bank. I have nothing against epassporte just that there are too many risk factors involved in the services they provide.

Lets face it, Epassporte offers a convenient service but they aint no Chase or Citibank :2 cents:
