Amsterdam is shit, but all the conventions are there, London and Paris is ok, Moscow is the place to be if you wanna spend lots of money(and I'm talking about thousands of dollars per night if you wanna party in style), Greek islands, particulary MIkonos in August is really rox with all the Italian and Greek babes running naked on the beaches(no shit) and good parties. Italy and Spain I never been, but should be good.

Go to north Sardinia, the Costa Smeralda. It's the non-cliché St. Tropez at the moment. Rent a car and make a road trip along the French coast with Sunflower Fields, Lavender fields, great waves if you like to surf. Go to Sicily to experience a mystique athmosphere... Go island hopping in Greece.

Have fun Dave and see you in september. Rome/Venice is a good one. Add 2 days Milan to that list for some hardcore shopping!

If you stay up north in Italy, you are close to a lot of nice places like the French Riviera (Monte Carlo, Nice), Italy (Venice, Milan, Rimini, Riccione) and you could even visit Geneva or Vienna.

Although 'close' might be considered 'far' for others, but I just like driving places in Europe :)
