You would probably have a different opinion of ePassporte if something got fucked up with your account and you spent 4 days trying to get someone on the phone - right? Or if you sent emails to ePassporte that weren't getting returned - right? Or you logged into your account to find most of your money gone - right? My point is that we are all thrilled that you've never had a problem with ePassporte but that doesn't mean that you won't have in the future or that others aren't having problems now.

If I remember correctly, RogerV is friends with Chris, one of his ex girlfriends works there (or did) etc. etc. etc... If he ever had a problem, he'd get preferential treatment... Nothing he has to say about ePassporte can be taken as "objective".

oops... 100 official statements that avoid the gambling issue.

germ 02-28-2007 07:48 PM

ive never had security issues, my issue is the fact that they process gambling transactions still and anyone else thats done that has either been locked up or decided to stop before they got locked up.

let me know when epassporte is ready to address that one.

I doubt if they'll address it directly. They are only going to say that they are doing nothing unlawful :thumbsup

Obviously most people at epass have no clue what it takes to run a payment processor either.

When you have security issues and you bark about hiring more CSRs and buying new phone lines and ignore the important issues that tell me that their credibility is shite. Compound that with the fact that they have completely avoided direct questions about gambling money and anyone with average intelligence would be concerned.

hardcoreblogger 02-28-2007 08:06 PM

epassporte rules :thumbsup thanks for the explanation, michael!

Epassporte is all good in my book

Well done. You managed to throw a weak plug for your program into a serious discussion.

Do you have any clue what the real issue is here? Rhetorical question I know....

PMdave 02-28-2007 08:37 PM

Any of you US citizens actually transferred money from epassporte into an online casino? I've looked around on some gambling sites and indeed some do accept epassporte as a payment option... but most of them don't accept US clients. So my question is who or what says they do allow us citizens to transfer money to online gambling sites?

ampt10 02-28-2007 08:45 PM

Nice to hear that....

TDF 02-28-2007 08:46 PM

I just did tonight, so I could get my money off an online site.

gecko 02-28-2007 08:58 PM

never had any problems with my epass

HighSociety 02-28-2007 09:13 PM

Bank Of America did block me from uploading money when I first tired it, All it took was one phone call to tell them I am not making bets and it has been fixed. They did tell me epass was mainly used for that when accounts were jacked. People would epass all the money and wash it and it is gone, They say they just did it to protect me, I have not had a problem since. But hey when I have a problem or the pizza man is late I call Pizza Hut, I do not post it on here first

Over the past few weeks, ePassporte has been providing poor customer service. This has understandably been the topic of discussion on many webmaster boards. We have also seen a number of rumors spreading about the stability of our company, the safety of our Account Holders money and our involvement in illegal activity.

First and foremost, the team at ePassporte would like to apologize for the poor level of service you may have received. Our business has increased two fold and our Call Center is receiving four times the number of calls and emails than we had in the past. Our number one priority is the satisfaction of our Account Holders and we are making every effort to ensure we have the people in place to better service our customers. Below is a list of improvements ePassporte has made over the past month to meet this objective:
  • Each week ePassporte hires and trains a group of new Call Center Agents to answer Customer Service phone calls and emails.
  • Existing staff members are working overtime on evenings and weekends to help with the influx of new emails and calls while attempting to clear the backlog that has been created by this sudden growth.
  • Additional phone lines were added to our call center to facilitate the increased calls.
  • An IVR was added to our Call Center line to better manage and direct incoming calls.
  • Our Email system has been updated with specific categories to ensure our Account Holders issues are efficiently addressed.
It does not end with the above. Each day, we are making improvements to better handle the increase in calls and emails; however none of these changes will improve our level of service overnight. We expect to have our service back to acceptable levels in 2 to 3 weeks and until then we kindly ask for your patience during this time. We can only hope you will remain ePassporte Account Holders and understand that our poor service is not due to a lack of resources or effort, rather a staggering rise in volumes, which could not have been predicted.

Secondly, the funds in your ePassporte Account are safe. ePassporte has not been hacked. A very small group of Account Holders tell us their accounts were ?hacked? and funds were fraudulently removed. We have investigated all claims and found evidence that supports their passwords were compromised. Your ePassporte Account Password is stored by ePassporte using a one-way encryption algorithm making it impossible for anyone (including ePassporte) to gain access to it unless you disclose it to someone, have entered and/or stored it on a public computer or entered it on a Phishing site. To be safe, we urge all ePassporte Account Holders to change their passwords frequently.
Lastly, ePassporte is not involved in or has never been involved with illegal activity. We are compliant with the law and have a team of lawyers who monitor various new bills and regulations to ensure we remain compliant.

I hope this statement can put some of the rumors to rest and answer the questions you have about our company. Again, thank you for your continued support and your patience during this time.

Please understand that our growth is a positive factor. Our company and all of us on the ePassporte Team are excited about the growth of our business and our future. We hope that you will see, in time, that we are accomplishing our goals of better service in all areas.

The team at ePassporte is focused on answering emails and calls from customers so if you have any comments, questions or require assistance, I kindly ask that you send me an email: [email protected].

Thank You,

Michael

Michael, thank you. Like most I have been concerned that there may be some problems....not because of facts but mainly due to no official response. Thanks... and I hope the Epass management can send the new staff to learn from you.

I just did a transfer last week from my BofA account, no problems..

flashfire 03-01-2007 03:47 AM

why would anyone leave money in there anyway? its a great payout option but I take my money out right away

en21 03-01-2007 03:54 AM

U guys really need to improve the customer service... if you promise 2 days then it should be within that period and not 3 weeks...

I guess that made ur reputation really bad at the moment. However it is a positive gesture that you recognise this problem and putting some action to address the problems

I can tell you that I will never more a single nickel through epass until you demonstrate that you have some greater level of concern for your customers. Contact me on ICQ and I will give you the details of a theft that was handled very poorly.

Keylogger trojan much?

Yeah, I would be surprised if people actually thought Keyser (Michael O - for some reason I still refer to him as "Keyzer" though) is the CEO of Epassporte. Fact is that he's just their "board support". (or at least this was the case few months ago - my apologies if this changed)

He may be the most professional, intelligent or even educated guy there, but that doesn't mean anything unfortunately. :(

polish_aristocrat 03-03-2007 03:28 AM

BTW - no offence to Micheal ^ but since so many people are concerned about epassporte's security recently, they should be aware of such facts IMHO

polish_aristocrat 03-03-2007 03:29 AM

shit, I guess I wont be able to increase my Virtual Visa limit from $500 to $1000 anymore :helpme

Nicely-Nicely 03-29-2007 03:07 AM

1. Two months and waiting for a reply from epassporte despite numerous emails and calls.

2. They are now holding money I wish to withdraw but have no way to until I get a reply from their support. So, what qualifies as illegal activity?

3. It seems, also, that anyone outside of the US is completely stuffed in terms of withdrawing funds.

4. I've paid for my visa card (over two months ago) and have yet to receive it.

So where are these improvements?
