well as the resident homo i guess i should post huh
.... i think the whole pride thing is lame. i have no shame about the fact im into guys, but i also have no shame about the fact that i like coke, prefer my steaks medium well, dislike broccoli, and always sleep on the right side of the bed. but im not gonna go around waving rainbow flags and banners saying i want recognition because i belong to a certain group. fuck that. i am who i am and i dont need society to "recognize" me like those lesbo's at the basketball game. :2 cents: |

I really do not see the big deal in someone standing up for what they believe in and getting noticed. People do it all the time and if it bothers you turn the other cheek and ignore it. I was raised to be vocal and stand up for my beliefs whatever they may be. I have been the watcher of activists groups, a participant and sometimes even started a uproar or two myself, ohhhh ahhhhhh.
What I really love about growing up in the US is that WE, EVERYONE can do this. You can stand up and be seen for whatever you want. You can start a group or following for any reason. If it wasn't for people standing up or even sitting down on the back of a bus, people would still look at African Americans as inferior and not be given the same opportunites as whites. So being seen and heard does get things done. Look........by that group of Lesbians standing up and kissing made this thread go on this long. It will probabaly go on for a while. With good comments and bad, but it made everyone come together and notice. They did what they wanted/needed to do to get noticed and it worked. Well I will get off my soapbox now that i said my piece. |

I just want to say one thing. You grow up straight and you don't have to spend your whole youth wondering if your parents are going to throw you out of the house if they find out. You don't have to worry if your friends will all turn on you becuase you're not like them. You don't have to worry about being fired from jobs if your boss fiinds out. When you are Gay and you finally come out of the closet, you find out that the shame that has been placed upon you is not yours, but that of the small minded people around you. You finally learn that you are just as important as every other one of God's children. You learn that your friends are the people who love you no matter what. And you gain a sense of self-esteem that you have never known. This is Gay Pride, Pathfinder. I don't want special rights, I only want the same rights that you have.
Oh, and one last thing. You stop naggin' me about my Gay Pride Parades and I'll keep my mouth shut about your Straight Pride Party. I believe they call it the Super Bowl!!! |

If the gay movement is seeking new laws (rights), as I believe the movement is, the Supreme Court will make decisions based upon their interpretation of the Constitution. What if anything does this have to do with a bunch of lesbians making a spectacle of themselves at a basket ball game. Why should they have some kind of official recognition for being fans of basket ball? Why would they want special recognition? What did this do to advance their movement to whatever ends they have in mind? |
don? ounique? gay?

20 or 30 straight couples should have stood up and made an equal display supporting hetero rights, I'm sure they'd have gotten a standing ovation. yeah |

Yet.... I love it. No muss, no fuss, just said pretty much to the point, and none of it is untrue. Should gays feel lucky that we tolerate them at all? |

If I was a hypocrite I would be telling people NOT to do it, and then still be selling it. Humans were not made to eat their own fecal matter. Therefore, eating poop is technically "wrong" from a biological standpoint. Just like sticking a cock in your ass. It is wrong. Your anus was not made to have objects like a penis inserted into it. Thats a fact. Im not telling people to not stick cocks in their asses. I dont really care what you want to stick in your ass, or whether or not you can eat poop in the privacy of your own home. So... is homosexuality and sodomy an abhorrent behavior according to the basic laws of biology. Yes. Am I telling you not to do it? No. So am I a hypocrite really? No. Are you just trying to ride my nuts and get a rise out of me? Probably. Do I care? No. |
