Dear Ashcash Affiliate, An error has been found in the tracking system, some sales have not been credited to webmasters. We do however, have all click stats. To resolve this issue we have decided to payout all webmasters based on clicks sent. This will have no effect on your sales and rebill money, you will get the per click payout on top of your regular CCBill payouts. You will be paid on your clicks from Dec 15 2006 - March 11 2007 This will give us time to change the system to be sure the CCBill tracking system works 100% We will be paying 1.5 cents per click on the clicks into the CCBill system. Unfortunately, CCBill does not provide us with your payment details. Please forward you payment details to [email protected] We will need your Pay To Name, Name, Address and Affiliate ID. We will process the payments during the week of March 12 2007. Ashcash

Is it me or does this sound like CCBill was just blamed for the problem?

" an error has been found in the tracking system".... " give us time to be sure the CCBill tracking system works 100%"

I wouldn't be happy if I was CCBill and the problem was caused by ashcash. Ashcash never once says they were the cause of the problem and from the way I read it it sounds like they putting the blame on CCBill.

It kinda does read that way.

It seems not to be CCbill, I am being told that they are being passed a bogus ID that is over riding thier system. And until setting up the default Nats join page, we had 0 issue with CCBill, so I tend to believe them...

corvette 03-07-2007 10:52 PM

Just to be clear to everyone in this thread, the CCBill affiliate system has tracked and continues to track clicks/signups accurately, when used correctly without specific outside influences or manipulation

CC 03-07-2007 11:13 PM

God dude, take some responsibility. It is your fault, not CCBill's and not NATS.

That was a very polite way to say that some "fair" programmer was clueless on how things work.

Either that, or they did know how it worked and, well you know the rest.. :)

Glad to see it resolved at least.

Nice quotes from mike in this thread, some conflict?

"I don't own the program, and don't make anything from it."
"and Yes, Ashcash.net will be AdultDimensions.com soon..."
"All webmasters are getting credit for all sales and rebills..."
"Im looking at CCBill right now... nothing wrong with sales... sales are great..
rebills are even better"
"An error has been found in the tracking system"

Ok, a guy who knows the ins and outs of web browsers, cookies and so on....
A guy who writes Internet Eraser program, made to do a FEW of the Following

:: Prevents Sites from improperly changing your Home Page!
:: Erases Windows' secret index.dat file
:: Erases 'autocomplete' site addresses
:: Erases Windows Temp Directories
:: Erases Recent Files List
:: Erases My Documents Files (if you want to)
:: Erases Recycle Bin
:: Erases Browser Cache Files
:: Erases Browser Cookies
:: Erases Browser Favorites (if you want to)
:: Erases Browser History Logs
:: Erases User Selected Directories
:: Overwrites Any Files You Specify with Random Data - Then Deletes Them!
:: Frees space on your Hard Drive
:: Makes your PC run faster!
:: Runs As Often as You Specify - Automatically
:: Uninstall and Reinstall in Seconds

Gets the Setup wrong? No way......
Or a Program that Only pays out with ccbill, never logs in to make sure everything is running correct Since December 06??
How about Testing the Links when the New System went in place? Watching affiliate payout in ccbill for a few days to make sure everything was working ok?
I have heard from to many people that sales dropped off to almost nothing, and the mostly say about the same time frame......

But, during all this, a simple easy fix was found. Anyone switching from ccbill to NATS, just remember to keep everything separate, run 2 different touring systems with different signup forms.
ccbill code should never see nats code, and nats code should never see ccbill code.....
sitename.com/ccbill -- tour -- signup form
sitename.com/nats -- tour signup form (different from the one above)
I am sure there are more ways to keep everything Tracking correctly, and one would think a guy with your credentials would know this.

How many people are going to even bother with the 1.5 cents
How long does a person rebill?

Ok it feels like a dead horse now.......

Just a couple of things
Karma -- Birds of a Feather --

wow, if this isn't a someone busted for shaving I sure don't know what is folks

Wow!!!

NTSS 03-08-2007 12:29 AM

Doesn't look like a "system error". This is no doubt a deliberate act.

Who's nats ref code is this on the join page anyway?

I'd like to know who's getting all the sales.

Man you just won't stop.. lmao...

Nats and CCBill payouts have nothing to do with each other...

The Nats code in the refresh does absolutly nothing... :1orglaugh

just wanted to bump this thread - fucking pisses me off that i now have to go through umpteen pages to remove links to this scamming sponsor!

JimmiDean 03-08-2007 04:29 AM

This may serve as a wake-up call to other programs.

pocketkangaroo 03-08-2007 06:04 AM

While I know Ashley Brookes isn't the biggest solo girl out there these days, she still has a big following. She has tens of thousands of old links up that will never die. I can't fathom that she isn't bringing in atleast a couple sales a day.

With that said, are you saying that NO ONE noticed that an affiliate never sent a sale for nearly 3 months? That the fact that you had no expenses related to affiliate payouts for that time period didn't raise a red flag? That guys who sent 10-20 sales a month were sending 0? I'm sorry, I refuse to believe someone who has been in the industry that long would overlook something like that on accident.

So my conclusion is that someone was shaving. I don't know who runs her site, who sets up her links, or who even owns it. But someone was stealing from affiliates plain and simple. For that, I will blacklist her site and any sites associated with hers (or in the same program) as hers. I would suggest other webmasters who care about the integrity of their clicks to do the same.

lazycash 03-08-2007 09:25 AM

You can still promote her and guess what, the join links give credit. http://www.nikkinevada.com/nikkinevada1.php Only thing is they haven't updated the member's area for 4 years, so don't count on any rebills :1orglaugh

Mutt 03-08-2007 03:38 PM

really disappointed in CCBILL and NATS. what went on here is obvious. how CCBILL works, how NATS works, cookies, shmookies, and everything else - irrelevant. the truth is you had a program that was doing a certain number of affiliate driven sales for a long period of time and then that changed drastically and the program owners did nothing about it - just kept taking what they knew didn't belong to them.

justsexxx 03-08-2007 05:03 PM

Well how can you blame ccbill? I mean, when the program owner changes the prejoin page for example to Epoch, you won't get credit either...It's just Mike69 who fucked it up, and who is scamming ppl...

Ashcash--->scammers
besides that, expect that you need to change your links after 3 months anyway, because that girl with attitude will move to the next program anyway...

gimilin 03-08-2007 06:18 PM
