#1 is where people usually run to who have a little and sometimes a lot of cash. The 3rd world for 1st worlders is a place to hide, run, or escape to. Drugs, whores, corruption, etc etc. It gets old after a couple of years.

The 3rd world is cheap... but with that cheap you get: corruption, infectious disease, financial crises, coups, poor health care, narco states, lack of services, 1/2 capitalists, etc etc.

Funny, I was just having a conversation with one of my lawyers today about Bulgaria and the rampant corruption there. Oddly enough, my point of view is that corruption is GREAT when it works for you and not against you.
