Would be nice if it built the page, THEN posted it...

So while it is grabbing thumbs I don't have page like this:

Quote:

pathtogal=teens/emily18/swimsuit
h=186
w=140
hbig=650
wbig=430
thumbalt1=Emily18
thumbalt2=Emily 18 Swimsuit
thumbalt3=Emily in Bikini
#startloop#

#endloop#
#thumb# #thumb# #thumb#

As galleries are made on-the-fly so this temporary template is not entirely important as it you see it for several seconds. But I'll try to rebuild it anyway soon and announce it if I complete it. :)

Man nice script but to be honest business wise I think it's too much. $10 or maybe $19 at the most would get you more sales. Word press users normally are not looking to pay for plug ins. But good luck.

At $45 it keeps the customer service needs down I would imagine. Only serious webmasters are willing to buy it.

We developed the plugin for our own purposes (for building galleries and making money). But then we started selling it. So it would be funny to expect to buy such a thing which helps you making more money just for $10 (LoL) or even for $19. It's complete solution. All you need is to put your own banners and generate tons of galleries. Moreover, we are going to announce great update soon.

There are other scripts out there that build galleries like this and one specifically that is only $20. However it's a give and take. The one that is $20 has a proven track record in the babelog scene and works great, but it doesn't put the larger images on HTML, nor does it resize the larger images.

So this plug in he's selling has that option of HTML for the images and it resizes the big images but I'm not sure if you can link the big images on HTML directly to the paysite tour or not. If you can't then that option needs to be added.

This plug-in is nice for what it is, but I personally think he went way to high on the price to be competitive with what's out there already. For the price of this plug-in, I might as well just spend the few extra bucks to get arylia as it offers way more features.

I think the original prices that he had were much more realistic for what this plug-in offers. Considering you have to manually upload the images to your server, you could just very well use one of the many freeware gallery builders that run on your PC then just upload it to your server and use a PHP include in your post to get pretty much the same results. Better yet doing it that way allows you to build galleries for unlimited domains.

The other draw back with this script, is you can't fix or crop your thumbs manually. So if the auto crop does a bad job there is no way to fix it other than fire up photoshop and hand crop the thumb yourself.

IMO he went way overboard on the price increase and taking away the unlimited domains option killed it. There are just too many other options out there and IMO the best option he had going was the unlimited domains and it "was" cheap.

Buncha 05-04-2007 07:57 AM

I picked up a couple copies, and it works pretty well. Hope you update it with even more features.

Here's a bump for ya.

Chariott 05-04-2007 10:28 AM

Thanks, Buncha!!

We move ahead and I'm happy to announce that a new feature has been developed!

I added Remote Grabber feature to download galleries from TGPs and FHGs.
All you need is specify url like http://www.SomeSite.com/SomeGallery/ and Gallery Generator downloads all the photos, saves them to your harddrive, generates thumbnails, big-sized photos and posts a gallery!

Moreover, the script supports Wordpress 1.5 and 2.x versions so it should work pretty good now. If you find any bugs, please let me know on ICQ and I'll fix them pretty quick.

Let's take a look at the video tutorial which I've updated:

Or download free trial there:

nice post.. i think babeblogger has gallery maker now in their version 3. i haven't checked it yet since im too confused with the template system.. arylia works wonders. ive seen a free plugin lately from a fellow webmaster in other forum dunno if he is developing the plugin..

charlotte software looks pretty nice and fopr sure they will put more features soon.. but for the price i would havesave money for arylia.. what was the price for unlimited domains before? that would be awesome if they have that for us :)

Chariott 05-07-2007 02:26 AM

Has anyone tested remote grabber? Any suggestions?
I'm going to introduce another good feature soon which many people asked for.

Chariott 05-08-2007 01:37 AM

New feature added: support for WordPress 2.0.x.
So now the plugin supports almost all Wordpress versions: WP1.5, WP2.0.x, WP2.1.x

Baxter 05-08-2007 02:17 AM

if you want to build a good plugin... build one that imports feeds into your blog...i love feedwordpress but the dam thing give me errors with some feeds after the latest WP update...now that would be a plugin you could sell....:)

this one looks interesting i will have to check it out..:)

Chariott 05-08-2007 02:33 AM

Baxter
Do you mean a plugin which imports text messages from various rss feeds?
My plugin imports galleries from FHG. Or do you mean importing galleries from rss feeds?

Chariott 05-09-2007 06:08 AM

New feature: Saving galleries to FTP.

Now the plugin scrapes remote FHG's, autocrops thumbnails, resizes originals, arrages within your template, SAVES PHOTOS to alternative FTP server and creates a gallery in a second!

Ultimately, new feature allows webmasters to save money if they have ultra-cheap bandwith server. Welcome :)

Handy Man 05-09-2007 07:58 AM

Word! Keep up the good work Chariott :thumbsup

Chariott 05-10-2007 09:10 PM

Thanks! More updates will be available soon.

Lensman 05-10-2007 11:05 PM

Love the idea behind this script.

V_RocKs 05-13-2007 03:40 AM

I bought 10 licenses and I am the reason behind some of the latest features.

Thanks to Chariot for making those changes. Feels good to work with a programmer that actually wants to work and make their script more useful to their customers.

That FTP function is the bomb... I suggest people use it in conjunction with two things, SEO IP usage and cheap low cost BW...

Host your blog at www.gotwebhost.com and then put the images on www.swiftco.net and walla, you are banging out content left and right!

No SE class C road blocks and no high BW bills to pay...

Plus you also have more free time because this script makes posting SEO friendly galleries as easy as 123!

digifan 05-13-2007 06:11 PM

I have it and it works like charm... good job!

Chariott 05-14-2007 08:16 AM

Thanks guys! I appreciate it! :)
I totally rebuilt the plugin, so tons of features will be available soon! :)

V_RocKs 05-17-2007 03:17 PM

Just got it on another domain... Damn this thing makes posting easy!

Buncha 05-26-2007 01:53 AM

I'm really impressed with how easy this makes updating my blogs. I've got it running on 3 sites right now. It only takes me a few minutes each day. Definitely worth the investment.

Looking forward to your updates.

newbieadult 05-27-2007 07:03 AM

This script seems to be very cool. I will check it out.
Keep it up, Chariott.

newbieadult 05-27-2007 07:06 AM

Hi,
I got a question. Does this script supports RSS feed? I see that mostly all sponsor now have RSS feature, so it will be great if this script has that function.

CIVMatt 05-27-2007 10:12 AM

I think its time to buy this....

jds 05-27-2007 11:49 AM

Is it compatible with wordpress-mu ?

Yes, of course. You can use RSS as a usual Wordpress feature. All three types of RSS (RSS, RSS2 and ATOM) work with the Gallery Plugin perfectly.

We need to test it. If you find that gallery plugin works good with WP-mu, please let me know. If it doesn't work let me know anyway and I'll make it work :)

Also, several customers have tested the plugin with the new WP2.2 version and everything works great.
