I didn't make it to my high school reunion i heard some of the ugly chicks from school are now hot as hell :)

Danny_C 04-18-2007 01:47 PM

I went as an excuse to go visit friends I would have visited anyway... but yes, I went. It was definitely... enlightening.

He is a substitute teacher for high school english (nothing wrong with being a teacher) but I truly weep for the kids that he teaches.

The jocks were the worst.... they seriously ALLLLL delivered for FedEx and were still trying to pull the same high school game. One of them was trying to show off his Movado. I just had to restrain myself from laughing. :1orglaugh

Sometimes, violence is the only answer. :)

Reunions can be cathartic, and after reading about the movado, sounds like it was for you too! :thumbsup

I was in Honors Classes, i.e. nerd classes, so as Bill Gates and many others have shown us.... it pays to be a nerd. :winkwink:

I went to a private school and we decided to organize the prom ourselves (the students) and had a prom comittee and all, raised money, rented a place...and the school board didn't like it very much so I think they simply boycotted us and didn't do a HS reunion !! lol anyway...never heard of one.

I have my astronaut suit pressed and ready for when it comes around...

I would rather die than go to a reunion. I had no friends back in high school. Who would I go talk to at the re-union? It would be like high school all over again. I like to imagine that part of my life never happened and that I'm a much much better person now and improved myself in many ways. I actually repressed most of my high school memories and don't even want to think about it.

After high school I became the person I wanted to be. Going back would be reminding me what I used to be.

I would not go back to a reunion even if they paid me for it.

High school was terrible for me. I remember eating lunch in the library everyday cause I had no one to eat with.

Worried 04-18-2007 02:26 PM

It's been around 10 years since I was a senior and I still have unpleasant memories and flashbacks from that place.

Zuzana Designs 04-18-2007 02:31 PM

nope I don't think I would if I had the chance. There was way to many freaks in my HS

CherryLipsRosa 04-18-2007 02:35 PM

i never went to mine but i would love to see how everyone is doing. i still stay in contact with a few of them so i almost know where everyone is right now.

LittleSassy 04-18-2007 05:42 PM

i dont go in reunions...the only ones that attends are the freaks

Peaches 04-18-2007 05:53 PM

I've gone to all of mine except the 25 year one because it was the same weekend as AWE in Atlanta. I had it all figured out since the reunion was going to be at the Westin also. Problem was the reunion was at the BUCKHEAD Westin and we were at the PEACHTREE PLAZA Westin :( I was on the phone all night with everyone though :)

I've also gone to reunions to the HS I went to in FL even though I moved to ATL my senior year and graduated from here.

sniperwolf 04-18-2007 05:55 PM

attended high school reunion when i was in 3rd year of college..nothing changed that much on my classmates and honestly, it was so boring...

hoxton 04-18-2007 06:01 PM

yep i went to mine and had an awesome time.

Brad Mitchell 04-18-2007 06:59 PM

I hated school. The best revenge absolutely is living well. I chaired my 10 year reunion and attending was for me the best closure on my whole high school experience :)

If my school had one, I missed it. Couldn't care less anyways. I never really saw the point of HS reunions. People who I wanted to stay in touch with, I have.

Not every nerd makes it, just like every jock goes onto Pros.

It's the person, not the moniker attached to that person that makes the difference. :)

didn't know there were so many broke people on here with beatup civics

TheDoc 04-19-2007 08:09 AM

I didn't go...

My high school years were spent at a very small school in a small town in Texas. It sucked, the kids sucked, the teachers sucked, and being in the middle of nowhere sucked. Pretty much after hs I bolted into the Marines.

My parents still live in the town - only reason I go 'sometimes' go back.
