as a father , i think the most upsetting part of the recording is the fact he doesnt even know how old his daughter is.. The other behaviour while not excusable is understandable as a father. Fathers are there to guide children, being a part-time father makes it really hard to do your job.

If i was 11 and that was my dad leaving me a message like that , i would have been scared to see him .. zero incentive.

If you think Baldwin was angry that was mild to what I heard mothers saying when I grew up. There wasn't one 'mother fucker' or 'ungrateful bastard' or 'thankless shit' in that entire tirade.

I'll bet if you recorded every parent in the U.S. you'd find 9 out of 10 are worse than baldwin by a country mile. A friend of mine is head of one of the largest states child welfare system. What they have to deal with would make most people faint. People can be ruthlessly cruel and evil to their own children in ways the public has no idea about.
