Wishing that Canucks make another cup finals, my favourite team since the Mogilnyj / Bure days and the legendary 93 / 94 playoffs. Hundreds of hours playing NHL videogames made me aware of every player and every stat way back those days.

Not that much in the picture now, too bad I cannot watch more games live, seems like an interesting playoff year. Have to wake up in the morning though.

CDSmith 04-30-2007 03:46 PM

Devs-Sens about to start. 15 mins.

oohyeah :D

Those were two mighty close "goals" at the end of the 1st. :D

g$$$ 04-30-2007 05:55 PM

go sharrrrrrrrrrrks!!!!

Phil 04-30-2007 05:55 PM

Lets go red wings.. and Canucks..

chuvii 04-30-2007 06:01 PM

Let's go Devils!

Anaheim - NJ final will be great :)

CDSmith 04-30-2007 06:37 PM

2-0 Ottawa (final)

That was a great game. Even with a hot Brodeur the Sens kept on it and got it done. Good hitting, good hustle, good defense. Nice win.

Now for Red Wings-Sharks, starts in just over 20 mins.

Ah, so much great hockey, I almost feel like making a beer run. :D

The penalties were insane there for a while, on both sides.

Too bad Vancouver didn't capitalize more in the 1st period, I thought they played their best hockey then. If they played like that for all 3 periods they'd be pretty hard to beat for any team.

if u think that was a "great game" then i am starting to really doubt ur hockey experience. it was better than the buf/ny game which was the worst i have seen in the 2nd round. but still, it was pretty boring with a lack of discipline and ability to make plays.

it was a good game as a viewer.
it was not a bad game but not great either for both teams. way too much open ice.

as a viewer -- it was crazy!

*fastfoward .. viewing det/sj*
and i thought the otw/nj game was crazy fast! this game is intense!

fuzzylogic 04-30-2007 08:39 PM

dammnnnnnnnn
this is intense

fuzzylogic 04-30-2007 08:44 PM

damn
this game makes my nipples hard.

it's the same open ice from the otw/nj earlier, but this game is on OVERDRIVE

JimiJimi 04-30-2007 09:14 PM

fuzzylogic 04-30-2007 09:37 PM

wowie wowie
that was a battle

today we saw 4 great goalies! 2 of which helped win games!

CDSmith 04-30-2007 09:41 PM

Both games tonight were good. The wings-sharks game that just ended was terrific.

Nice 2-1 victory for SJ for the go-ahead in the series.

I am loving these playoffs.

Tomorrow night they're at it again... Sabres - Rangers and Ducks - Canucks.

Must replenish beer and munchies supply.

Nearly every game in the playoffs is a great game. The players 99% of the time play like their lives depend on winning, which is the way it should be all season but isn't. If you don't think this is great hockey then you must be downright pissed off for much of the regular season games. :D

My hockey experience -- well, I played the game for over 20 years. Reffed a few games along the way. Spent most of my adolescent life at outdoor rinks and arenas, out on the front street and even down the basement practicing. I like to think I know good hockey when I see it. :D

CDSmith 05-01-2007 09:44 AM

Tonight's games

Sabres @ NY Rangers -- hmm, Sabres won their two home games, then Rangers won THEIR first home game. Series 2-1 for Buffalo. I think the Sabres will take tonight's game and go up 3 games to 1.

Ducks @ Vancouver -- Series is 2 games to 1 for the Ducks... I say the Canucks win tonight's game at home to tie the series.

Games on every night for the next while without a break. I'm going to try and watch them all, I love playoff hockey. This, and the Olympics and world cup, is the best hockey in the world.

T - Bone 05-01-2007 09:49 AM

Loved that Sharks game, on the edge of my seat the whole game.

Plenty thankful we have a deep bench, we absolutely needed a strong 3rd period and they pulled it off.

fuzzylogic 05-01-2007 05:13 PM

nice
the 1st period was rough and boring. but the 2nd looks like it is being to open up and that favors speed teams :)

Scott McD 05-01-2007 05:20 PM

I've been watching most of the games over here in the UK. Means they are usually on about 3am, but i'm always up at that time anyway ! :thumbsup

fuzzylogic 05-01-2007 05:49 PM

well, the open ice lasted about 2min :/

NY is too powerful along the boards in their end. they are also pinching the blue line negating bflo plays. with the pinch, bflo dumps the puck. then with strong board control ny rips it out to a floating center ready to move into bflo zone.

i think bflo needs more odd-man rushes like 3 on 2 to win the game. ny goal seems slow moving across the paint. a few passes then a high shot should work.

fuzzylogic 05-01-2007 06:22 PM

ny goal #2 and buf goal #1 were both scored by wining scrubs along the boards.

this is what ruff means by an "ugly" game

fuzzylogic 05-01-2007 06:39 PM

shit!
that might be a goal!

CDSmith 05-01-2007 07:00 PM

Wow, the Rangers prove me wrong! In fact they are proving a lot of people wrong, since quite a few originally predicted Buffalo would steamroll over them easily... and that just doesn't seem to be the case.

That really WAS a goal at the end there, but since by the camera angle they couldn't definitively see that the puck was indeed all the way across the line, I think they made the correct call.

Nice win for NY. And yet another great game to watch.

Now for the Ducks-Canucks. I like the CBC coverage better than that of TSN, but I'm happy that between both networks I'm being provided with 100% game coverage. :D

not me.
the game is supposed to be on Vs. .. even says so on "information" on the channel. instead some shark fishing show is on. wtf

Furious_Male 05-01-2007 07:43 PM

Buffalo played like shit for 50 of the 60 minutes. Goal or no goal they stunk up the place. Ruff benching Max was asinine considering Paille played a whopping 4.5 minutes and didn't do shit.

2-2. At least its good for ratings.

fuzzylogic 05-01-2007 07:45 PM

lol on channel 49 the screen is split between baseball and hockey.

Spunky 05-01-2007 07:53 PM

Cowan out with a knee injury...The Canuckleheads will have to step it up

northboy 05-01-2007 08:15 PM

good game so far, except the canuck fans are a bunch of babies. They keep yelling the gayest things..

fuzzylogic 05-01-2007 08:19 PM

Van is playing well :)
the ducks and nucks seem the same like a mirror play style

CDSmith 05-01-2007 11:19 PM

That was a damn quick OT.

Vancouver should have won that game. They gave away the puck in their own end a few too many times.

you say they should have won but then give a reason why they shouldnt have....there were outplayed like 99% of these playoffs

NaughtyRob 05-01-2007 11:41 PM

Woohoo! Go Ducks!

Rephrase: They SHOULD have won because they had a 1 goal lead for most of the game. They LOST because they gave away the puck in their own end too many times in this game.

Better?

Axeman 05-01-2007 11:54 PM

Canucks got away from what was working the first 40 min. Hurt them badly. Can't sit on a 2 goal lead.

Would love to see the team with Cooke and Kessler back in the lineup though.

the whole game was filled with turnovers on both sides. not the best duck game.

True, they've definitely played better.

Just Rob 05-02-2007 12:13 AM

Canucks play prevent D and lose!!! When will teams learn????

NO arguments here, GO DUCKS!!!

i do agree, it was a very sloppy game for the ducks. thier passing was off just a bit. I'll be there banging on the glass to close it out Thursday in Anahiem!!! :thumbsup

Irish Pimp, I'm not sure who i'd rather play to tell you the truth... :( either team it's gonna be a good series. Atleast if its San Jose Ducks get home ice and it's well within traveling distance! :thumbsup

Varius 05-02-2007 12:26 AM

See this is why the Ducks are a good team. When you are a good team, you can play like garbage most of a game but still steal a win...when you are a bad team, you simply lose :2 cents:

Now finish this Thurs at home and hopefully get Nieds/Prong a few days to recoup before the West Finals.

The DAM CanuckelHeads Play Good Hockey & then Go into the OZONE long enough for the Ducks to Play THEIR Game ! They're Both Good teams, but I Hate to Say it (I'm in Vancouver), but the Ducks are "HUNGRIER" and would Not be surprised to see Them go all the way. They got the Sharp shooters TOO !

CDSmith 05-02-2007 08:24 AM

Tonight's games

Devils @ Ottawa -- Sens up 2 games to 1. I'm going to take the bold route and say they (Ottawa) wins tonight and goes up 3 games to 1.

Red Wings @ San Jose --SJ up 2 games to 1 in the series... I predict the wings will win tonight and tie things up.

Agree? disagree?

CDSmith 05-02-2007 04:09 PM

Game On!!!.
