4-2 Ottawa, fuck yeah!

Spunky 05-10-2007 06:31 PM

Go Sens..bring it back to the motherland

fuzzylogic 05-10-2007 06:38 PM

Sens played very well in the last period. very well.

CDSmith 05-10-2007 06:57 PM

Nice opening game.

Sens look like a team that has what it takes to win it all, atm at least. Tides can turn pretty quick though. Looking forward to game 2.

CDSmith 05-11-2007 03:11 PM

Okay, Ducks @ Detroit tonight.

I'll say this series goes 7 games, Detroit wins.

I'll also say that this one turns out to be the best series of the playoffs so far.

Scott McD 05-11-2007 03:47 PM

My money is on Detroit, again !!!! :pimp

CDSmith 05-11-2007 07:12 PM

Heh, exciting final seconds with that Detroit penalty.

2-1 Red Wings. :D

Where are all them Ducks fans who thought they'd crush them?

xbizdon 05-11-2007 09:40 PM

ducks-wings is series to watch. detroit is so awesome every time this year. they've got so many cups.

Yes where are all the Detroit haters at now This looks like its gonna be a great series but I am sticking with Wings in 6

CDSmith 05-12-2007 10:27 AM

I'm not ready to write off the Ducks just yet, they're a great team, well-coached by former Winnipeg Jet defenseman and later coach of the Manitoba Moose Randy Carlyle. Their team packs plenty of firepower... Selanne is one of the most dangerous players in the world, it's anybody's series at this point.

Mr. Garibaldi 05-12-2007 01:31 PM

Sabres today is an easy money.
Sens never won 2 opening games in a row. Sabres in a must win situation. They cant allow 0-2 deficit going in Ottawa...

CDSmith 05-12-2007 05:35 PM

Why does every dipshit who gets sent to the penalty box shake their stupid head? Fuck, no matter how obvious the call was they all do it like they didn't deserve it or something.

lol

Shel_IAS 05-12-2007 06:08 PM

Ottawa is My choice

Hi, I am a Newbie here... but i got to put in my Dig that Ottawa will beat Buffalo in 6 games.

CDSmith 05-12-2007 06:50 PM

They looked shakey in the 1st, but are again looking like a cup team in the 2nd.

GO SENS!

I'm surprised no Sabres fans have posted about that first goal that was disallowed. :D

Spunky 05-12-2007 07:01 PM

Sens are looking good indeed

Lance69 05-12-2007 07:23 PM

God I love playoff hockey! What a good fuckin game!
The Sens are sticking to em like glue!

CDSmith 05-12-2007 07:36 PM

AWESOME GOAL FOR BUFFALOOOOO!!!!!

holy shit what goal.

OT here we come :D

CDSmith 05-12-2007 08:31 PM

I wonder how many idiot fans left the game late in the 3rd and are now trying desperately to get back in.

ha ha

Great overtime so far.

Spunky 05-12-2007 08:50 PM

One more game closer..great game..go Sens

CDSmith 05-12-2007 09:07 PM

Nice floater bullet to end the game.

Sens could put them away in 4 if the Sabres don't wise up.

CDSmith 05-14-2007 06:56 PM

Great 2 games, last night and tonight.

Ducks tie it up last night beating the Red Wings in Detroit. Personally I think the Ducks were a bit off in game 1 because they had such a long rest after beating Vancouver early. In THIS game they showed that they are back in business. I still say this series goes 7 games.

Sens beat Buffalo to go up 3-0 in the series.
What can I say? There were a few guys early-on in this thread who basically discounted what I said about Ottawa being strong and instead talked about how "fast" a team Buffalo is and how the Sabres will roll over them. ha ha.... people, never insult my hockey knowlege. Never.

I know a good team when I see one, and Ottawa is as good as it gets this year. Good speed, hard-hitting, close-checking, with solid goaltending and enough firepower to put the points on the board.

They could very well put the Sabres out of their misery in 4 straight.

Wouldn't that be a hoot? :D

Where are all you SABRES fans?

fuzzylogic 05-14-2007 07:01 PM

WHAT? u looking for a fight?
otw has been playing near perfection. the other 3 teams have not been. whats there to say?

fuzzylogic 05-14-2007 07:05 PM

due to otw owning bflo's ass the duck/wings series is far more entertaining to view

I figured the Ducks/Wings series would be that, and in fact predicted that it could very well turn out to be the best series of the entire playoffs.... aside from the cup series itself that is.

Not so much looking for a fight. Just reminding a few who weeks ago strongly disagreed with me at nearly every turn though, and wondering where they are right now. :1orglaugh

But man, you must admit, your predicting skills early-on in this thread have taken a rather savage beating....

NJ over Sens in 6

:D

I'm seriously thinking Ottawa might win it all. Don't want to jinx it though. No matter who they'd end up playing if they manage to beat Buffalo, either the Wings or the Ducks will be tough, and hungry.

I think they might have a better chance against the Ducks though.

Kevsh 05-14-2007 07:29 PM

The Sabres power play, I use that term loosely, is the most horrid thing I've seen since the WHA. If they had even a poor power play this series would be, at worst, 2-1 Sens.

why, ur very correct. i dont feel i was way off though. i predicted SJ would win over Det but i did not post that prediction here. why SJ? cause they have more skilled players. why did they lose? same reason Buf is losing ---- LACK OF FUCKING WILLPOWER

see, having skill is clearly a mere minor role is winning games. i feel NJ had more skill over Otw. same as SJ over detroit, Buf over Otw, Dallas over Van.

but clearly skill does not win games.

Well somebody has to. Hell, I feel sometimes like I'm the only one on the couch with the remote and the beer, getting fat and taking one for the team watching the playoffs!

You know I plan to.

(like I've been doing all along)

In fact, what the hell... I say Detroit smartens up and ends up stealing the first one in Anaheim. 2-1 Wings (in both score and series)

And on Wednesday oh what the hell, I say the Sens put them away, 3-1 Ottawa.

:D

it's a clear sign of a lack of confidence in the Otw series.

It's okay to just say "I was wrong"

I'm sure Fluffalo will get at least one game..Good game tonight for the Sens

... as long as u do ur prediction with a smile on ur face :thumbsup

it appeared pretty clear during game 2 that Otw would sweep Buf

See, I disagree there as well. You have to remember, back in the day my Winnipeg Jets were up 3-1 over the Oilers. Gretzky & co suddenly turned it around and came back to take the series..... so I'm a "it's not over til it's over" kind of guy now.

hey, it's not me to said "it's over." it was the sabres.

Martin 05-14-2007 07:55 PM

Yeah the Sens are to big for Buffalo, cant get around them.

CDSmith 05-14-2007 08:01 PM

Not that I'm counting chickens before they're hatched or anything but do any of you guys have any thoughts on what would be the better cup series? --- Sens-Wings or Sens-Ducks?

Sens/Wings
gritty vs. gritty

Lance69 05-14-2007 08:11 PM

Sens - Wings. I could stomach either one winning the cup. But I fuckin hate the Ducks. I'm still in shock that they would actually name their team that.:helpme

I'm inclined to agree.

If it went to a game 7 it would be glorious, bodies flying everywhere.

so u dislike a team because of their name??
then i dislike the wings because of their fucking atrocious fire engine red jerseys :1orglaugh

IwantU Michael and I have quite the wager going on Ana-Det (started before their series did).

He's for DET; I'm for Ducks.

Loser has to get his ass waxed, then wear a speedo (chosen by the winner) all day at the office, while going up to each individual employee and modeling it for them :1orglaugh

I think the true losers will be the other office staff (about 40) :upsidedow

I'm just glad Ducks took game 2, going home down 2 games would not have been pretty.

Actually, I think the Ducks played better in Game 1 than Game 2, but they didn't get the breaks. In Game 2 DET seemed to play much stronger and kept the Ducks to the perimeter and kept rushing them at the points, but Ducks got the breaks (2 close-call video-replay goals).

I'm anxious to see how it goes now that the Ducks will get their desired line matchups at home. Hope Kunitz is back and Teemu's finger is ok (rumors its fractured or even broken but he played through it in game 2).

Neither would the waxed butt speedo :warning

Will the winner be taking video of the loser doing the modelling?

one to go.

Can't believe the wings fans aren't gloating about the 5-0 win tonight.
