I've always liked photography and to me black and white is so much more dramatic than color so I'm a big Ansel Adams fan. I have a few prints of his but I'd like to get some more. Here's some of his stuff on art.com in case you're not too familiar with his work...

I can appreciate why it is a good work of art but it suffers from being over exposed in that it is everywhere so I almost don't 'see' it when I see it but instead it just washes by me.

Salvatore Dali.. I've been at Dali museum in Spain last year... if trip to Spain don't miss that... also note that lines in front of the museum can be very long and you can expect sometimes up to 6hrs of waiting to get inside... so get there early... or go in groups since the groups have priority and are entering on at the scheduled time...

Van Gogh - I've also been to the Budapest few months ago to see the biggest to date Vang Gogh exhibition... but some of his best works were not shown there, so I was kind of disappointed....

............
and so on....

and when you enter 9th grade you are uniformly issued an Escher poster for your bedroom and possibly a t-shirt with that hands drawing each other picture if you are on the honor roll.

Yeah, I just wish I knew why I liked him so much but I do. Some of his stuff is really explicit but yet the 'people figures' show up on kids clothing, etc. There is one train station on the way to Philly that has a bit water tower with his work on the side of it. I found out later it was his home town which I never knew before then despite being from the same area.
