to pretend paris has not had success is just turning a blind eye to the truth. She has done well in movies, music to some extent, plus she only set out to be famous really so could anyone argue that she hasn't succeeded?

I remember watching one of those police pursuit shows and this one chick fled in her car and for miles put many people at risk with her drunk driving and during the pursuit the announcer stated that the woman had been convicted of DUI 17 times already. And this bitch was on the streets.

So I do think that the judge did go a little overboard giving her the sentence. Naomi Cambell only got probation and community service for an actual assualt after all.

That said, once the sentence was given, Paris should have just served her 20 something days without issue.

I actually blame society for this. We want people to achieve a certain status but no more and when they do go over our pre determined threshold of fame we are almost brought to orgasm when they fail in any way. If Paris was some unknown I doubt she would have spent an hour in prison over this.

That face is nothing compared to what could have been the faces of anybody she hit when she was drinking and driving. Had she just shut it and done her time without fuss people would have let it go and probably near enough forgotten about it in a few months.

oh and I forgot perhaps Paris' biggest success.. the tv series The Simple Life.

Not to mention that she gets 200K dollar cars just for showing up to club openings. How is that not success?

No she is being punished for exactly what she did - she drank and drove and then basically stuck her finger up to the law. I do agree that she shouldn't have been released and toyed with but I don't have any sympathy for anybody that drinks and drives. It isn't a small crime.

She got a DUI and got her license suspended then stupidily she got busted driving without a license even though she's more than wealthy enough to hire someone to do all her driving. She should get a year in jail just for being a retard.

I don't agree with her being released but she is getting what she deserved... she broke the law and now she has to pay!
