People dont get that most of the torrent sites are simply search engines. Just like google you can search for torrent files ONLY by entering the correct parameters. Do ads appear next to searches made for cp torrents? Yup So google makes money off of CP searches.

Google works the same way the torrent search engines do. Now do ads appear next to searches for cp or other illegal items in google? Does google get paid for the ads running next to those results? YES so now then how is this different?

that's weird, I type in Ch*** P*** (just in case) in Google and there are no ads to be seen. And all the results are news stories or anti-CP websites... odd, what exactly are you typing in to see these ads?

I even typed in nude girls (the word they don't allow)... and no ads I also added underage in the middle of that, and no ads... so what ads are you referring to? oh, let me guess, you didn't even check, you just assumed there would be ads right? That's so not like you.

Im not going to go through and figure out what combinations might pull ads, but Im sure there are as many links that show up with ads as what you find on torrent sites that people are crying about.

No what wasnt funny was people using the links to poke at AFF with and not reporting them to the sites in question. Thats what pissed me off, and it used to be that the words pedo and cp were not even allowed on this forum without a warning or a ban. Now people are using them willy nilly to go after sponsors.

Why is no one going after Adbrite, or tmobile, or any of the other people thats ads show up on torrent sites?

Because we are in the adult industy, and when one of our own is helping fund these sites don't you think it's resonable that those companies get the heat on gfy? If torrent sites were selling stolen phones do you think tmobile would allow them to advertise them?

I dont think you even understand this thread.

1) aff got busted blatantly robbing people with spyware and basically said "yeah, well.. tough shit if you dont like it"

2) it was then pointed out "why are you always advertising on the most shady sites online... stolen content, warez, torrents" etc again a COUPLE MONTHS before they announced the ASACP thing and basically Lars said "well, tough shit... its the way of the future"

3) it was then pointed out that they are also advertising next to CP (you are a total fucking idiot to try to say "oh, its just affiliates") Piratebay.org and others arent exactly affiliates that fly under the radar and its not a secret what they all do.

4) after all of this, after the dust settled... after it was all forgotten about, he makes a huge announcement that he is now supporting the ASACP in an attempt to repair his image... however, DOES NOTHING about advertising next to CP.

So... if you care about children and fighting CP, it would only make sense to stop putting money in the pockets of those making CP available.

its one thing to say "hey man, its legal so we are buying this traffic"

its another thing to say "hey man, we really want to protect kids, so we are going to donate 5,000.00 of the millions we make from this traffic to help kids"
