ok, I've been using it, by far the best screenshot app for the mac by miles!

What I'd like to see:

1. A way to specify the file names of the exports so I don't have to rename em. Like a little box that allows you to specify to name them "number sequentially put a prefix, and or a suffix and specify min digits.

2. A Big Red "Export" button in the interface instead of having to goto the menu and select export (frivolous I know, but I am)

3. I am grabbing screens from 80 videos, 50 screengrabs from each to create a matching photoset for each one for members in my paysite. So I'd like a super auto marker function so I can drop 80 videos in, specify effects for each one, and hit a button and it auto creates all the screens for each video allows me to view all the screens to make sure they are good, allows me to replace ones in sequence I don't like, allows me to specify each videos screen names and then hit a big red "export all" button and it exports all processes all the videos screens at once, and it exports all 4000 screens with each videos screenshot in it's own folder. Big feature, I know, but that's what I'd like for this specific project.

But seriously, best mac app in the niche I've seen... interface is smooth!

gleem 01-04-2008 11:36 AM

oops, I just saw the naming box as I wanted, lol.. so scratch request #1 above!

One minor thing is it won't let you delete selected markers or things in the export que unless you right click and select delete, clicking "delete" key on the keyboard just beeps at me.

gleem 01-04-2008 11:38 AM

and a button on the timeline to mark "in" and "out"

Anymore room for testers. Got 50 video scenes that need image exporting.

borked 01-04-2008 12:51 PM

teg0 01-04-2008 01:37 PM

You can do this already. There's a naming bar especially for this (middle right of the app) in the marker view where can specify sufix/prefix/numbering. Also, you can choose to have a super simple filename prompt every time you export or add to queue. You can also rename in the queue.

File naming and renaming is pretty extensive

There's the keyboard shortcut and a toolbar icon too.

yea, I know there needs to be some kind of auto batch but it's not gonna happen this version. Already costing me a fortune :-/

Try command-delete. There's no documentation yet but deleting is the same way you delete from Finder, command-delete.

I have still yet to find a single problem or issue with it, in doing what I need it to do.

CarolCox 01-05-2008 01:53 AM

Danny just signed up for the Beta

macmark 01-10-2008 09:50 AM

So how are people getting on with it? those who I sent Beta's too last time round.

Chris 01-10-2008 09:53 AM

i am been looking for something liek this
i sent my request in bro

DirtyDanza 01-10-2008 11:30 AM

well give it to me... will it do HD as well as SD im dying to try it out

macmark 01-10-2008 12:16 PM

It does HD, performance depends on the spec of your MAC. I expect if you're working with HD files a lot then you have plenty of power so it will work a lot better.

DirtyDanza 01-22-2008 10:23 PM

ok put in my app

sent, sorry for the delay

Just wanted to say I have been using Slush for over 30 days now and I couldn't live without it. We used to use VideoCharge, but the quality of jpegs, and clipped movies was sub par. With Slush the jpegs are perfect, and the clips look absolutely great.

Good job!

Kevin Marx 03-27-2008 05:56 PM

did I miss something??? Is Slush splitting movies??? I don't remember if it did that or not

Jenny S. 03-27-2008 06:05 PM

You set an in point, an out point then choose file > save movie selection to save the video between the two points.

Hi,

I appreciate it, but chances are that I didn't get it. They installed a new spam-filter on my account last night, which lead to the consequence that all my e-mail got rejected. I found and empty account this morning, compared to 200+ messages every day. The geek said he fixed it, so if you could plz. resend it to

either

[email protected]

or

[email protected]

I'm sorry about that.

cranki 03-28-2008 05:13 AM

looking good :thumbsup

cool... had never done that before..... how about splitting the entire movie at say 30 second intervals.... can that be achieved? Or do you have to do each split individually?

Greg MissionD 03-28-2008 05:26 AM

That's hot, signing up now

Is it just me or did any of you others get slush.app.TxT as the application? Got the same attachment twice from mark's email.

AsianDivaGirlsWebDude 03-31-2008 03:30 PM

Hey Mark,

You sent me the Slush app awhile back and I was finally ready to give it a test drive, but it doesn't launch.

I unzipped the file and see the sno-cone icon, but when I click on it, nothing...did the copy you send expire?

Let me know what to do, or please e-mail me another copy.

Thanks,

ADG

You probably installed it on a G4, it doesn't seem to like that. When I got it I was watching TV on my G4 laptop with 10.5. and installed it right away. It wouldn't launch. Yesterday hubby tried it it on an Intel and it works like a charm.
