that blue milli at the bottom of the post looks great, i might have to get into millipedes too.

ya, no point in having a pede any less than 6"+ hah. after all the inspiration, I purchased a breeding pair of Texas Browns last night, and plan on hooking them up after F's first molt in my possession. they can have hundreds of babies, i'll have my own little monster ranch! :helpme

I've seen those in my backyard here in Texas... just read about them, wow, they don't even reach maturity until 8-10 years of age.

I see them very, very rarely, although if you actually go looking for them, they aren't hard to find.

send some neighbourhood kids out on the hunt, you can turn a pretty good dollar on mature wild caught tarantulas, i payed $65 for my breeding pair...

it's not much different than someone keeping a tank full of goldfish, or planting a flower garden really. it's not liek ou can play with your fish or eat your marigolds, but they are nice to look at and easy to appreciate. i guess it depends on what your personally find aesthetically pleasing...
