As for having dogs, yes I have always had a dog. I have a 13 year old dog that is blind and deaf and takes a lot of work, but she is my dog that gave me years of good times so now it's my time to take care of her.

As for dating dogs, you are the one I wonder about. You talk about this breed like I am insulting your sister or mom or lover. Good lord it's a fucking dog that is known for it's aggressive behavior, and you act like they are mother theresa. There is a reason that they pick pit bulls and rots for dog fighting and not poodles ya putz.

Not sure why you're so hostile? I see that there is no use in trying to educate you in an area where you obviously have been misinformed. As I have stated before I try to base my opinions on my own experiences combined along with what I hear from others with knowledge in the subject at hand. I honestly havn't met a pit bull that wasn't friendly, not saying that there arn't any because that would be a rediculous statement, but what I am getting from you is that the majority of the breed is bad and I havn't seen that.

So you're saying that it's ok to exterminate a breed of dog just because you don't like it and because it's not human so that makes it ok. Dude I think you may need some help...why all the references to cheese wiz and trailer parks any ways? As I have told you there arn't any trailer parks in my area and I don't eat cheese wiz. I actually know my way around the kitchen pretty well so those comments don't bother me and actually make you look kind of foolish to others on the board that know me personally who I have cooked for. If you must know tonights menu consisted of bbq bison burgers with pasta and hot italian sausages with a spinach salad, really quite good.

Any ways I don't believe in telling others how to live their lives and I expect the same courtesy in return. I mind my own business and don't bother others and as I have said before none of the many dogs that I have had have ever had any problems with aggression towards anyone and were all well trained.

If you say you have had dogs all your life then you must know that the way in which a dog is raised aand socialized has alot to do with it's behavior through it's life. There are many other breed of dogs capable of doing much more damage than a pit bull. I personally know of an incedent in which two pit bulls in a dog park that they frequented often would play with an akita regularily. Then one day for no apparent reason the akita just snapped and killed both pitties, ripped one of them right in half. So because of that incedent should we ban akita's or maybe just all large breeds.

What you don't understand is that the criminal element that is attracted to pit bulls that create this negative image will just move on to the next large dog breed that is not banned and possibly more dangerous like maybe the argentinian dogo or the presa canario or possibly the akita. What are you going to do ban all of those dogs? Dogs used in dog fighting are really the victims in all this. Something needs to be done to the owners and the people that make them that way. Come on you should know a little about how a dog just wants to please it's owner if you say you have had dogs all your life.

Pitbulls are bad. No matter how you put it....Yeah of course the owners are responsible too. But when you breed a dog that is made for fighting etc, what can you expect? It's an ANIMAL, not a human being...

Also, IF a dog bites, the complications with a pitbull are much worse than when a labrador bites for example...

I don't own a pit bull, but have no problem with them as a breed of dog. People tend to become hysterical whenever they see a story involving a pit bull and it's more because the Media loves to create an easy to understand "villain" instead of pointing out the simple fact that people are fucking stupid.

If you're going to own any dog you have to look carefully at their breeding, understand how to discipline and control your animal, and also make sure that the animal suits your living situation. A pit bull, in the hands of a responsible owner, can be a good pet...unfortunately, there's a lot of fucking stupid people in the world. However, you have to put fatal dog attacks in a proper perspective:

Fatal Dog Attacks Each Year: 18 (not all attributed to pit bulls either)
Fatalities in Car Accidents: 43,000

Now, I don't mean to point out the obvious, but stupid people cause most of the world's problems. They shouldn't own dogs, they shouldn't own guns, cars, or even be allowed to use sharp pointy objects, and they definitely shouldn't be allowed to procreate.
