do you have a webmaster program for your paysite?

MaDalton 07-20-2007 02:56 PM

LOL @ everyone pretending that this is not much money. 3 months later they usually come back and beg for money to pay for their dogs nutsack transplantation

lazycash 07-20-2007 02:57 PM

Big congrats, awesome to see what hard work can accomplish. Just get that money out of the bank and into some higher interest earning investments. That much properly invested could yield you enough to live on as it seems you live well within your means.

JD 07-20-2007 02:58 PM

good shit man. you need to seriously consider getting people/scripts/etc to do the work for you though.

I need to go see an advisor eventually, but investments in general scare the shit out of me. I know earning the 3% in a sucker savings account is lame, and leaving money on the table, and eventually will plan on doing something after doing a little homework on investing and finding a banker

Be wary of advisors. Many get commissions for getting customers to banks and investment agencies.

The % you get in a savings account is low, but it's pretty safe. If you're going to invest without making investing your primary business, you might want to go with a plan that guarantees you will never lose your initial profits. Especially right now - the markets are somewhat instable at the moment, and a wrong move could easily lose you loads of money in the near future.

I don't know why I forgot to add you to my thank yous.
We have never met before, never spoken before, but you are a huge factor on my success.
As I was lurking gfy a few years back, you stuck out as a young successful guy doing his thing in SEO, and everybody was praising you as being a SEO/SEM GOD, which in turn got me into studying SEO.
I would say I spent 18 months studying, playing around, trial and erroring with search engines before finding a system that worked for me on adult and mainstream.
so, THANK YOU

Always remember to keep that cynical hat on with any "advisor" :) Chances are they are potless and could never bank a mill to save their own lives, but armed up with a series of laminated color brochures. I've never let any of these people thru the front door - and that has paid off many times over.

The only thing that can be generally said is, - keep your mind wide open and spend some time on research. That can be very cheap, but have excellent rewards in the time spent doing it. And, no hurry. Also.. only my :2 cents: - it's interesting and can be an education realizing what has potential :)

Wow, that was completely unexpected and I had no idea I had any influence at all. Still, you're the one who did all the work and found a system that works and you're not going crazy spending the cash your making. That's very commendable.

BlackCrayon 07-20-2007 03:33 PM

Congrats on the achievement. I don't have one mil liquid but if i had to work on galleries for 12-15 hours per day i think i'd blow my head off or have a heart attack. Seemed like a lot of work when i was submitting them.

bausch 07-20-2007 03:35 PM

I'm happy for you and admire your hard work and dilligence, but doesn't "getting proxies" mean that you submit under fake nicks etc? I submit as well and the most amount of galleries you could realistically submit a day under your own identity is probably around 5-6 picture galleries or so (more perhaps if you are submitting in completely different niches and therefore a wider variety of sites) and even more if you are also doing vids (because you'll be submitting to even more different sites) and you would be perfectly fine as long as your submit program keeps track of how many submissions each site accepts and how many times you've submitted already, cause there's some sites out there that will accept like 5 gals a day, but once you get to 20, that's a bit too much.

Using proxies is not good I think because you are breaking the tgp rules.
Also, how do you plan on keeping submitting with all this 2257 crap going? (If you're in the U.S)

so just because someone has money they should buy some expensive car to prove that they have $? Why live beyond your needs when you don't have to? In the process you save money and in the end have MUCH more. Sure, he can go buy himself a ferrari or some shit and LOSE money instead of using that wasted money to have MADE more.

BradM 07-20-2007 03:51 PM

Congrats, that's very impressive. 1 mil liquid is an incredible amount of savings.

No, he said that his paysite constitutes around 19% of his income, so the majority of money is coming from his own galleries, blogs, tgp's etc I am guessing most come from galleries submitted...

Actually, I find it EXTREMELY believable. He probably has one mil in the bank BECAUSE he drives a 95 Neon and lives in a crappy place. If he drove a benz and lived in a nice place he probably wouldn't have a mil liquid right now.

Did you know that the owner of Ikea who is worth 23 BILLION drives a 1993 Volvo and is even known to use his bus pass to save money?

There's this book I read called "Inside The Millionaire Mind" and it reveals the lifestyles of a lot of the millionaires in America who have net worths in the millions.

- It said a lot of them get their shoes RESOLED (have new soles put on their shoes) instead of actually buying new shoe.

- A lot of them reupholster furniture instead of buying new

-They clip coupons to save money.

-Typical millionaire has a net worth of just 3 million and lives in a home valued at under $277,460

Very true!! :winkwink:

Who actually cares what car anyone drives??? Only people who measure a car as being of "value" is when they need, for some strange reason, to help their character deficiencies and get one up on their neighbors/friends. (Apart from "enthusiasts" who can gloat over lumps of metal with four wheels).

Only know two seriously rich people (in the billions range - and not dollar values) - neither cares about cars or "possessing" glitter - they have more relevant stuff to deal with. That's why they are wealthy in the first instance.

Also... being a "millionaire" means little (tho not decrying from layinglow - he did that from little and is holding his mill in liquid form), - that is only half a mill in Sterling or 724K in Euros. A one bedroom flat in the center of London can cost $1 mill (or more depending). There are plenty dollar millionaires around who are millionaires simply by owning their homes - and these homes are not "millionaire style" homes. I sold a house last year, which in dollar value was just under a mill, but that was a fairly average five bed property and sure did not have any millionaire-style features *lol* Everything is relative :)

crazy how the first thing out of peoples mouth always is you make all this money what kind of car do you drive? if you aren't driving a benz they look at you like you're dumb. fucking people kill me with that shit every time. they're driving 40-50k cars and wonder why their broke and i got dough.

I see your multi-millionaire and raise you 4 others who drive bentleys, have tons of new shoes, have someone shop for them, and live in homes valued at 800k+.
