There will probably be a fair bit of phonebids and broker purchases, which is a completely acceptable way of bidding. Many people interested in the domain names selling at the auction are not able to attend the Internext show (unfortunately). Often corporate buyers purchase domain names through a specific brokering agent. We feel that it is important to give the adult community the opportunity to bid and win on names that will increase their revenue. It will be a terrific event!! Cheers!

My point exactly + bump for your deal

Yeah, I've seen that one a lot too.

I've been seeing this banner ad everywhere. Is this really the main "goal" of this event? Could be very interesting!

Moniker is starting to become a cluster fuck imo. First they ask me not to submit mainstream names and I see tons of mainstream names in the master list. Then they email me asking if i'd submit 20 or so specific names because they felt the names would sell and I hadn't included them in my original submission form. Then I check the master list and the names are no where to be found.

I sold a domain at the last auction but still havent gotten payed and every email I've sent asking for an update has gone unanswered. I also sold a name a few weeks ago through their market place that took about 3-4 days to complete. The domain is no longer in my possesion but Im still getting emails from the escrow department asking me to unlock the name so they can transfer it.

Dont get me wrong their domain registration service is spectacular but these auctions need some work.

You aren't the only one with emails unanswered. Must be a monumental task to organize this and choose domains for the sale, but I've pretty much given up on Moniker. I hear some good things about them and their registry service, but so far haven't seen anything that backs it up, or anything that would warrant moving any domains to them.
Considering you actually sold a domain at the last auction and your emails are still unanswered makes me feel better, however bad that may sound :)

Moniker is stellar. How have you not seen anything that backs it up? Are you blind?

As far as domain auctions go, how many other companies have you heard about holding a successful auction involving significant names?

Did I hear you say zero?

That's right, Moniker stands alone at the top. Do your dd. Moniker is far and away the superior company for all your domain needs!

It is wonderful that you have had a stellar experience with them. I have not. Your experience does not == my experience with them.

Like I said, it must be a big task organizing these auctions, so I can almost feel their pain.

Just because certain companies have a good board presence doesn't mean anything to me. They may also be good at what they do, but it doesn't mean they don't have anything to work on. You think it is good that someone still has not been paid from the last auction and they still can't get a response from them? Yep, stellar:disgust

If you want to be sarcastic, put words in my mouth, and then tell me what to do, maybe you shouldn't hide behind a fake nick. If I had something to praise them for, I would do it, but I don't.

polish_aristocrat 08-01-2007 02:04 PM

i don care either way but why does this thread mentions bigtits.com in the title while that domain is nowhere to be seen in the live auction list?

pimpin 08-01-2007 02:24 PM

maybe they meant Ilikebigtits.Com ?
