I tend to agree with this. Only way to forget her is to find a new job and get another person to be the center of your attention. For the meantime, just work your ass off.

She told you she want to marry you because she need someone that pays what her kid needs and that kid is not yours, do you really want it?. You definitely can find something better. If you really want "forget" her you have to accept that it is no more and wil not be anymore.
