wow, so an affiliate has access to campigns that NO OTHER affiliate has access to?

you can't get the xxxpass link codes from the webmaster admin, at least 5 people I know have tried it, so how does that work again?

scumbags...

Shoplifter 10-06-2007 12:33 PM

Quickdraw, where did you download this toolbar? We want to try to duplicate this and see if our own sites are clean.

zango dot com

Sysgenix 10-06-2007 12:37 PM

What about this idea to bring more attention to this then zango can handle?

See if their toolbars popup anything on big companies such as Microsoft, HP, Costco, and such? Make those companies aware of that issue as a customer who was trying to order something.

Could be an idea - inundate MS with reports & proof to back it up. They'll find a way to zap them out.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 10-06-2007 12:43 PM

Welcome to two years ago. I mentioned this a long ass time ago, was called an idiot, and was even fucking banned for pointing it out, now ya guys see it and all of a sudden it is a shock?

You people are fucking retarded.

Wiseman 10-06-2007 12:43 PM

Ok well It's family time. But Affiliate will be banned asap. And for those claiming xxxpass isnt in our program you are very wrong. ITs in there you just have to request it. More to come

Gilbert counters that "adware is just another medium. Just like with dialers, where there are those who abuse them and those who use them fairly. Regardless of what some people have said, we've always stayed on the kinder, gentler side of desktop marketing."

and using Zango to pop up over ccbill and epoch's signup page is being kind and gentle marketing ?????? :1orglaugh nigga please.

Thats what sexbank roll said.... and in their case the url being used was on their server and not an affiliate. And a year later they are still using zango.

So if this is an affiliate is should stop now and we should never see it happen again... personaly I am not buying the "its an affiliate". You guys just happen to be involved with your own "adware", your slogan is " fuck the surfer" and you have a very shaddy history from what I hear. I guess it was just a coincidence this bad affiliate picked your program to do this.

1. no response just ignore and hope it goes away (aka SexSearch Approach)

2. come in here and insult people and say "its legal" and say a lot of stupid shit (aka Lars approach).

3. Blame it on a bad affiliate (industry default response)

ding ding we have a winner. #3 blamed the affiliate.

I hope ccbill sues, if they subpenaed your records you would have to show proof it was an affiliate other then us just having to take your word for it.

There's no way for a random affiliate to send directly to your merchant page unless you set up a redirect for him though...

That's total fucking bullshit. I installed zango when all this went down. I then went to one of my own free sites and clicked the very first link I saw which happened to be a Raging Bucks NATS link. I clicked through to the join page, filled in the information for user details and clicked "Join Now" to passthrough to Epoch. The join page came up only to be poped completely over with your shit. You got caught and just now turned the shit off.. because it's not doing it now. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

See sig asshole.. see sig.

Mutt 10-06-2007 01:01 PM

oh yeah the 'rogue affiliate' thing is really going to work in 2007 :1orglaugh

sell stupid someplace else we're all stocked up here.

Thomas N 10-06-2007 01:02 PM

Guys, I have banned the account. Any time you guys find something like this, email it to me [email protected] and I can handle it fast. I would have resolved this faster had I not been at a family outing.

Heading back out into the nice weather. :)

fuzebox 10-06-2007 01:04 PM

I'm also curious, don't a lot of sales with 0 clicks set off your fraud detection tools?

So you banned the account.

What would happen with the stolen joins?

I'm so glad this thread came up before I sent a single click to these people.
Their reply was so predictable.

Gnus 10-06-2007 01:11 PM

I just passing on the message from the ICQ convo we had is all. I said assumed if you read the response I gave. Busy pulling links as we speak.

Quickdraw 10-06-2007 01:11 PM

Ray @ Tasty-
If a site has any traffic, you can bet they are a target.
See the Hustler grab I posted. The target was secure.hustler.com

idownload and quickbuck have the same owner according to the xbiz article posted.
http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/idownload.com

dig420 10-06-2007 01:13 PM

One of these days you people will learn... anyone who will fuck the surfer will fuck the webmaster. It's not just quickbuck. ANY proggie that spams big time, opens endless consoles, double bills - if they'll fuck a surfer they'll fuck you.

If you want an honest proggie, find one that is honest with the surfer and makes their money with good sticky sites. That's who's going to take care of you in the long term. If they treat the surfer right, they'll treat you right.

RawAlex 10-06-2007 01:16 PM

CCBill needs to take action against Zango and Quickbuck. Quite simply, this is putting me in the position of not wanting to send traffic to sites that use the standard CCBill interface. The value of their business and the trust of webmasters in this billing method has clearly been hurt.

I feel sorry for anyone using CCBill direct at this point, because without change, things don't look good right now.

pocketkangaroo 10-06-2007 01:16 PM

So an affiliate in your program can bypass the site and link directly to the merchant billing page without an affiliate code? To a site that isn't even listed in your affiliate panel. And all this without you noticing that not a single click is sent to the site yet all these sales are coming in?

Seriously, do you really think people are buying this?
