You really need a good kick in the nuts!

If that was one of the toughest days of your life, you ain't experienced life yet bro, sorry.

Smurfette 10-20-2007 07:53 PM

So sorry for your loss, its so hard to have to say good bye. I know ours was in our basement as well and barked out to Dennis for him to go down so he could be there when she died. Its so heart breaking. Like he said though, remember the good times and the little things that Sully did that might have gotten to you at the time, but now it will help you.

So sorry about your loss... Some people "get it" some don't... but when anyone, human or otherwise sticks by you, and provides the love and attention dogs do with their masters, it's not an easy thing to get over.

Best of luck in the coming days, and keep in mind albeit however to early it is now... In my experience nothing helps fill up the holes left in your heart from a good friend passing, then showering more love and attention on another animal in need.

GrouchyAdmin 10-20-2007 08:17 PM

What you did was difficult, but you can feel good knowing that he is no longer in pain. My sympathies to you; he's a beautiful dog. I was away and was unable to be there when we had to put down my Benny, so I can say the pain of not being able to say goodbye leaves an emptiness as well.

D 10-20-2007 08:22 PM

Sorry for your loss, man.

I know how it can be, and my heart goes out to you.

trafik2 10-20-2007 08:37 PM

Sorry to hear the sad news, but take solace in the fact you were there for Sully when it mattered most. You helped him pass into the next realm as only a true friend would.
RIP Sully

CD...It takes a lot for me to shead a tear. The image of your friend made it happen. So sorry for your lose, but you did the right thing.

For that hate dude..I'd love you to spend 30 seconds in a room with my 5 year old.

Bird 10-20-2007 09:09 PM

Sorry to hear that man. Fucking sucks, I feel for you.

I just had to put my dog down on Wednesday as well. I am totally bumed out, every time i get up from my desk I think she is still following me. I still keep thinking shes around.

My yorkie was 14 years old but spunky ass hell. her sight started to go about a year ago as well as here hearing, she lost a tooth a few month back and was alway grumpy when i tried to pick her up.
then all of a sudden on wed, she fell over and had a seizure convulsing scared the hell out of me, then she never really recovered, walking in circles so after about an hour of that I decided to take her in

she was one hot blonde.

Beautiful looking dog.

You sound like an awesome owner and did what you could allowing your bud to live through with dignity. You get to keep the memories and that is priceless.

R.I.P.

50 dead dogs

I just saw CD Smith post this drivel on other boards.

How much of a loser do you have to be to write essays about a fucking dead dog on porn boards? You are either a total loner freak, or an attention whore.

Leave your basement and talk to some real life people for a change.

Fap 10-21-2007 12:48 AM

im really sorry man..

You are not worth a response but for the second time I find myself responding...and I repeat I would enjoy turning your face into an oozing mass of goo.

why don't you really just go fuck yourself! i can't even imagine what it must be like going through life like a prick all the time and i don't even want to imagine.

unlike you, he has business to conduct so he's letting those know if he's not around, this is why. on the other hand i am more than willing to bet that if you're not around no one would miss you.

don't pay attention to fucktards like this CD. Sully was a great dog and he had a great run on this planet (made you run a few times too....lol).

may sully rest in peace.

CDSmith 10-22-2007 01:04 PM

Thanks again for all the kind words and supportive comments you guys.

It really does mean a lot.

Sorry to hear about your loss, Smith. Halloween marks the 10th anniversary of my dog's death. He died of cancer at the age of 5, and I went through a similar 'last days' experience with him. I'll have a shot in both of our dog's names come next weekend.

katushka 10-22-2007 01:50 PM

I feel your loss CDSmith. My girl passed away in March. She was 12. Had her since she was a pup. Her final day was a hard one for me and my family. We all were saddened and just humbled. People smirked at us for feeling so strongly about "some dog" but she was our baby. I will always miss her. RIP Antoinette, Sully and all other beloved pets.

*hugs*

Anybody that jokes about the pain of the loss of a pet clearly has never owned one or is just a true asshole.

Mine are only nearly two years old and I have moments when I remember the death of my past dogs and dread the feeling coming back.

TG Rebecca 10-22-2007 02:27 PM

my condolences. you sound like the best owner a dog could have, that is something to be proud of. :)

sweetums 10-22-2007 03:04 PM

Always hard to lose a friend - my condolences :(

Choker Support 10-22-2007 04:12 PM

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss :(
I can't imagine what you're going through right now losing your best friend. Dogs just give a different kind of love that we can't get from another human being.

starpimps 10-22-2007 05:39 PM

condolences on your loss man.
First week is probably the hardest to get through. I grew up with two dogs and when both of them passed it was probably one of the hardest things i had to go through.
