If foreign military forces didn't have the ability to impose forced control over these unruly Iraqi citizens, then we should have left Saddam in power. This conflict is never going to end until someone goes into Iraq and starts killing any man, woman or child who doesn't want to go along with the plan. |
Nobody wins in war.

Batman and Robin will save us.

Only winners will be owners of american oil companies.

If the USA just plans to bomb them from the sky then yeah no contest the USA will win.
But if they invade with military, say goodbye to your troops because the IRG will slaughter them. |

By the way the people that are hoping for war are absolutley insane, they don't realise that THEY will be the losers and they will have to adopt because of rising prices and loads of other shit.

The US would blow Iran away.

Yes this would be a stupid, destroy America's economy sort of decision.
One thing that should be mentioned on this thread is that Iraq is like a walk in the park compared to Iran. Iraq was a complete fucking joke of an army. We rolled in with superior firepower and force, and 24 days later have the military completely neutralized. Iran isn't going to be easy at all if the US attacked. A ground war is completely off the table. It would require more troops than we could muster, probably even with a draft and 100% of America's support. Have you looked at a map of Iran? Its a huge country. About 5 times the size of Iraq. Iraq is like hopscotch compared to Iran. Also Iran's military is sophisticated. They continually purchase brand new equipment from Russia, mainly TOR mobile surface to air missile launchers that are very modern and perhaps even better than our shakey US Patriot missile systems. Airstrikes would be difficult. The only battle plan I have heard of that is on the table so to speak is of air strikes which would still incur huge US casualties (many more times the amount we have lost in Iraq) per Pentagon war simulations. We would have to use tactical nuclear weapons on their nuclear facilities to destroy them. Their navy would be formidable, and it was within reason that we would sustain warship losses if we attacked. If they sunk any oil tankers that regularly bring oil out of the narrow straight of Hormitz, the world would panic and oil would hit 200+ dollars a barrel due to the major supply disruptions and instability just that alone would cause, discounting the oil that wouldn't be able to be pumped from Iran. And don't take my word for it, take the word of the actual US generals and admirals that would retire (perhaps even openly defy the president I would hope) if he were to order such a retarded attack, because they know what a bad decision, militarily, it would be. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...cle1434540.ece Bush needs to go back to his ranch in Texas and play with his dog. Leading just ain't his thing. |

lets see oil would go thru the roof, who could want a thing like that to happen? hmmm The funny thing is they are running the iraq/saddam playbook all over a again and it shows us how really dim we are as a nation. That they can probably get away with it twice.
