They were talking about this on a sports show I watch most afternoons. I can understand the restaurant wanting to keep its client's business private, but firing the guy seems a little harsh. This actually shows that Peyton is a good dude and that he must have liked the service he got.

I listen to Howard Stern on a regular basis and he says he is so paranoid about ending up in a news story about being a bad tipper that he tips 100% of the bill no matter what.

I was in Vegas and didn't tip a waitress (being my first night in USA) on a $3 coke drink in the casino. She told everyone not to serve me for the entire time I was there. I didn't get a drink in that hotel for 1 week.

Not tipping can fuck your trip up. So do the right thing, tip. Otherwise next time they piss in your coke.

Whats wrong with the society there, looks like being called a bad tipper is a disaster...

Ps: I would never tip anything extra if tip is included. If you are rude enough to mandatory include tips in the check you sure do not deserve anything extra.

Waitresses only make about $2 and some change an hour. Tips are their income.

Any server that expects to get paid a % based on the bill amount is a moron. You get paid based on services rendered. Cracking a bottle of 2-buck-chuck isn't any more difficult than cracking a bottle of 20,000-buck-chuck, so your rate of pay should not change.

If I go and drop $1,000,000 at a restaurant to order a whatever-the-fuck that took you 30 seconds to deliver to the table, I am not paying you $200,000 for the effort. You are not any more worthy of the money than the guy who took the same amount of time to deliver the $20 meal to anyone else's table.

Servers who believe a "tip" should be mandatory regardless of level of service should not be servers to begin with. A tip is for exceptional service, and is based on my level of appreciation for the service. It has no relation to the bill.

AllAboutCams 03-12-2012 08:06 PM

its stupid tipping just add it to the bill

KRosh 03-12-2012 08:18 PM

Wow you can almost rent a shoe closet in a 10 story walk up that if you're lucky won't have a tub in the kitchen for a month with that much money in Manhattan.

LOL @ this thread being necro'd.

I love the Angus Barn. I used to eat there every Saturday when I lived in Raleigh. It's right near the airport, so it was a great place to take clients, etc. Their food is excellent, and it's very cheap for a steak house of that caliber. They have their own lane of traffic to go to it. People think that because of the name it's not a classy joint. Always has Ferraris, etc, out front.

Hilarious, reviews on there. I love yelp. I'm going to try my hardest to go here during the summer to confirm that it's packed with eastern european females

L-Pink 03-13-2012 02:58 AM

I've got a tip, get a job that doesn't rely on being tipped.

.

ToBad 03-13-2012 03:19 AM

You will receive a 10% tip and it makes you so angry that you post on the forum. You are an ungrateful bastard. Had you worked for me you would have been fired immediately if I read what you wrote. You have not made more than your job.

On a note:
About 46,5 million Americans, or 14.6 % of the population using food stamps.

Do you believe in going to the same restaurant multiple times? If the answer is "yes", then you should start believing in hair, boogers, and floor grime as seasoning for your meal. :1orglaugh

I dont think the 3 bottles of DRC, or 2 bottles Petrus stand up well to the food on the bill.. should have gone Chianti or Barolo instead

No wonder everyone is so nice to me, I tip by the 100s when I´m in CZ (just a couple of GBP).

Good ole thread, did the guy get fired?
