It was one of the more painful tattoos I've gotten but its healing the fastest. I got it Wednesday Night and its already pealing. with each tattoo I'm learning less is more. I used to keep them lotion-ed up like crazy and they would take a week to heal . the last few i just keep it clean the first 24 and then a bit of vitamin E cream or a very natural moisturizer and it heals in no time.

I have a couple swallow Birds on my chest as well.. Looks great. who cares what people think except your kids and you

I should post a few better pictures in my profile .. The plan was to get the swallows on the top of each hand but the wife asked me to hold off on the hands ..lol so i figured I'd go for the chest. if it wasn't for the banner i would have made them a bit wider to the shoulders but i wanted the banner and the banner didn't look right so long across the chest. I'm happy with them :thumbsup

The trick is finding what works for you.. almost every artist / shop has their own advice. I have really sensitive skin so I keep mine wrapped overnight, wash it with hot water and soap the next morning and then let dry. I don't use lotion at all during the healing process.
