So apparently they are taking it seriously, it's not media hype...and apparently they are on to something they think is prosecutable. Another point of interest is the word "crime" a criminal investigation can only be for a misdemeanor and above, violations are a civil investigation. So, they are clearly looking for a reckless endangerment or reckless driving charge here. Damn that sucks!

This is the dumbest thing (or close) I have ever seen. IMHO they guy had to prove how big his balls were and it's backfiring on him. Dead people can be charged and convicted as I recall.

What the hell does that mean? They can seize any car that is involved in a crime whether its worth $5 or $5,000,000.

I am pretty sure they know, at the end of the bit the woman says something like "I won't say anything about it like you requested" and the reporter guy thanked her for keeping her mouth shut.
