Harsh crowd. If he drove it on the autobahn no one would have an issue with that.

I drive my cars fast all the time. I'm not busy talking on a cellphone or wearing an ipod cranked to loud when I do it. All my car friends take performance driving seriously and in all the years I've been driving performance not a single friend or myself has been in an accident.

The average person in their minvan doing 4 things at once is far more dangerous than a talented driver in a Lamborghini.

Come on man we have both been on the Autobahn, I would never do 219 mph on it, no fucking way!

That may be,but there are people who do because it is legal. Every RUF gets tested at those speeds before they get delivered.
At the end of the day you can be killed just as dead doing 85. Which everyone around here drives on the freeways all the time.

Also the autobahn is set up for high speeds which our roads arent.

Well you guys should just pull your traffic to FTV girls now, I mean he speeds and breaks the law's of the roads and all! What a dirt bag so reckless lets punish him!

OMGz!

PS: The footage is some of the best I seen as far documenting road speed:)

webmasterchecks 11-24-2007 09:06 PM

its a small transgression in the big scheme of things. im sure hes very careful with his life, driving is making calculated risks and the results are clear. hes still around

when you own a fast car, you tend to forgive these things more freely

No, I've never had any member of my family seriously hurt due to an "irresponsible driver". However, define "irresponsible driver". I'm much more afraid of nineteen year old kids who think they are king of the road and were never taught the value of proper breaking distance.

There is a difference between being a pussy and being smart, what he is doing is pure stupidity, some poor driver who gets in his way will pay the price.

LOL come on man braking distance at 219MPH, there is no distance, just one big fire ball!

Ya see the video? No one was on the road, and on one of the runs he slowed down because somebody was. It appears they staked out everything well ahead of time and during the event. Had camara guys along the raod as well. They knew what was on the road and not on the road when it was done.

No one was on that side of the road when they went for it.

Now are you saying he drives like this everyday? If he does I do not know but I doubt it.

I have seen his other videos, doing more of the same, there is a slew of tracks out west, wtf is he afraid to take a turn, he has a killer car load it up and take it to the track, stay alive.

Well I know you have never been on one, what is boring is straight line speed, my mother could go 219 mph in that car, Lia19 could also as yourself.

Now when a problem comes up, a blow out, a deer, a drunk driver out of no where, then what. Straight line speed is the easiest and most boring thing one can do, the only time your heart rate goes up is when shit goes wrong.

I had a blow out at 65mph once, and I had a head on collision at 45mph. Shit happens no matter what speed your at.

Again 65 mph is scary, wanna do it at 219 mph?

I just crashed at Homestead raceway doing about 60 mph, hurt like fuck, but the ambulance is right there, track workers etc. It's safer and way more fun!

Considering the bad tipping lawyer thread, I wonder how many people sent this thread and the video url to the Arizona state police already (yes, you can search GFY for "FTV" and find a post mentioning where he lives). It'll take them about 2 sec's to figure out who it is and where he resides.

Video taping and speeding = no brains (especially doing that kind of excessive speed)

This thread definetly delivers!!

Real men do shit like this for themselves, for their personal satisfaction. Dweebs make videos and rush to receive adulation from others.

Should have kept it to your self. It would have been really cool then.

Like I always say, if you can afford the car you can afford 10 high priced lawyers to keep you out of trouble, and make a mockery out of the justice system.:winkwink: Some people say "Oh man you drive an H1 those gas prices must be killing you". LOL if you can afford an H1 you can surely afford 3-4 dollars a gallon for fuel. So if someone can afford the Lambo, the insurance, and the maintaince fees. I'm sure they can afford the lawyers to keep them out of trouble.:1orglaugh:pimp My buddy back in MN used to have a 04 Mint green Murci and he got busted doing the same stuff several times. Every time his high priced lawyers were able to get him out of it. Unfortunetaly they were not able to get him a pass on some stuff far more serious then speeding:(

Anyway I can't believe you guys are so harsh this is an awesome video, and awesome car.:pimp Rob does not by the cars, and drive them like this, since he thinks it makes him cool. He does it because he's a connoisseur you have to admire him for that.

Who do you think will end up trying to immolate this kind of crap? You think the average 30 year old is going to take his lambo and try and do 200mph on a highway. Most likely not, luckily those morons are few and far between.

It's the 19 year old punks whom think they will be cool to see if their civic will do 120. They watch shit like this then try to do it themselves.

btw I'd call anyone whom does 200mph on a public highway a irresponsible driver.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 11-25-2007 12:01 AM

This has nothing to do with going fast or breaking records or even the Lambo.

This is about everyone else trying to make Rob and his people that run a great program look bad. Bad mouth the car, bad mouth the record...

All you pussy's wish for just a taste of the kind of life this guy must live...
Wishing ya had anything comparable.

I can imagine an animal crossing the road and making for a very bad accident - a tire blowing out - it is dangerous and that is what makes it compelling.

Exactly, I've raced at a few big speedways such as Daytona, Charlotte and a few others. The main parts of the tracks are fairly boring, the fun doesn't start until you get into the road-course sections of a track.

While I've never done 200mph I'll agree with there is not much skill involved in doing it in a straight line. Jump in a 250cc Rotax super kart that does 150-160mph with no roll cage and race it on a track built for cars. That's what I used to race.

So AlienQ until you have the balls to race what I've raced on the kind of tracks I've raced on. Well dont talk shit about someone being a pussy because they think this guy is an idiot for doing what he did on a public street.

It's called sprawl.

There are parts of town that shut down at 9P on any given day and you can do 200 mph on the freeway and not see a single other car.

If there are other cars on the road that aren't expecting a 200 mph lambo speeding bye them. Well then its irresponsible.
