You have to hike all the way to the end of the Bay, and around the corner to get there.

Why it's called the toilet bowl, is that when the tide goes out, so does most of the water, in a sort of riptide effect - and then when the tide comes back in, it floods in, at a very high velocity through holes in the coral, usually blasting you up in the waves, and sometimes into the air.

This all takes place in regular intervals of about 15 seconds or so.

It's lots of fun, unless of course, you slam into the coral... :winkwink:

I'm sure some of the reefs in Australia are similar to what you see in Hanauma Bay (what is unique about Hanauma, is that no fishing is allowed, so you can literally snorkle/dive amongst huge schools of fish):
