If you think that's bad, consider how often hotel staff wash the sheets, or the bedspread or the pillow covers in your rooms. This may seem gross to you, but there's a lot worse out there.

forget the soap.
go to the local supermarket and buy cheap disposable plastic once so you know you are the only person using it and was the only person using it so it's always clean.
healthier that way. no chemical residue.
