I know exactly when the world will come to an end. In about 1 billion years when the sun burns out. But by than man will already have gone extinct or moved away.
|
the only thing that will happen in the few months prior to 2012 will be sales in bunkers and preparedness supplies.
|
I donīt want to die before I can see the earth from space, and that`s not going to be possible before 2012, so fuck it! I won`t let finish the world on that year!

An "alignment" usually means that most planets in our solar system are on one side of the sun. They line up in a straight line with astronomical rarity. Even so, nothing will happen, as the mass of the solar system is predominantly in the sun and tidal effects won't have much effect. Also, because of size and/or distance, the earth won't be affected to any noticeable degree. |
Might be the end of human existence, but the World will still be here.

They said it before and nothing happened. It's just a cult idea if you ask me. |
The only reason people think the world will end in their lifetime is because their ego is so big, and they are so full of themselves they think that it has to happen in their lifetime, even though the earth has been around 4.5 billion years

Personally I do not believe in most predictions, well the exception of what they as a civilization were able to predict. (do not assume I think it is a date where shit will end either, that is just one of many theories) However we are talking about people that had and used a calendar that is still even more accurate than the one we use today. They had an uncanny ability to know or predict the cycles of comets, galaxies, the wobble of the planet, sun spots, and so forth. Not in vague interpret how you wish riddle jargon like every other seers. They gave dates, times, even down to minute predictions. Again this would not overly thrill me, but what eats at me is the how in the fuck was it done. We barely now have the ability to see parts of the galaxy that they were predicting alignments with, wasnt to long ago that we began to learn of certain cycle events that happen about every 20k years or so. Then again just recently the real effects of to many or to few sun spots. Ok to make it simple again how? Again though I do not think it is a doomsday. |
the Mayan calendar only goes to 2012, but nobody has been able to explain why.... hey, there's always the possibility that they knew something we don't.

10.000 years back :thumbsup

The Mayan "Long Count" was a way to record a period of 395 solar years. It is going to reset in 2012, much like our calendar resets on Dec 31st.
Big freakin' whoopie! BUT it is so cool and Mayan and everything you should probably buy some cool books on the subject that make bold claims about the world ending and/or the fourth plane of existence coming about. Help out those new age authors a little. Maybe they even have affiliate programs? |

you all must read "Fingerprints of the Gods" by Graham Hancock... it is about all of this and is very educational... I have been reading it for about 8 years now, and everytime I sit down to read it, I find something new.
Many of the stories of early civilizations, the mythologies, etc... all have celestial origins and all basically use the same celestrial equations with different representational forms to tell the same idea of the stars progression in the sky (aqe of aquarius et al) and tell of a catastropic event (floods, earthquakes etc...) and how it affected their societies. most of these stories were passed down for generations before they were put into a form that would last "forever" etc... all the stories are the same all over the world even though the civilizations were thought to have never been connected. it's very well put in the book and I think you should read it. As for anything spectacular taking place with the whole 2012 deal though, I still doubt highly. I think the most of it is just the fabrication of whacked out new age thinkers. |
i will try to buy as much as i can with my visa .like the last time in 2000 ;))
just kidding |
sounds good.. can't wait! :)
