I'd be comfortable with only nations that don't hold the religious beliefs that to die for your religion is the highest honor one can achieve having nukes. :2 cents:

Good point... these are the same people that go fucking crazy and start killing people over cartoons and want to execute a school teacher for letting the children name a teddy bear. Seems they take religion a tad too seriously over there.

Honestly? You really think that every government should share all information with the public? So then should police agencies divulge information on undercover activities since our tax dollars are paying for it as well?

There are typically reasons that this information isn't shared with the general public and suprisingly enough, it's not just because there is a devious plot of world domination involved. Sometimes, it's just to maintain the safety of the people who have their lives on the line.

There's a time to keep things under wraps, and there's a time for openness.

We supposedly live in a Republic, not a tyranny - not in a dictatorship. The citizens are supposed to be ultimately responsible for the course of our government in a Republic.

As prompted by our founding fathers, it's out _Responsibility_ to keep our government in check. There's nothing more American.

Our current government has lied to us time and time again. That's not the way things are supposed to work. They're supposed to be accountable to us.

Unless, of course, you favor the devolvement of our now quasi-republic into a police state/dictatorship.

There is a difference between lying and withholding information. I know the government has lied to the population of both the country and the world, I can't argue that point. But, they also withhold information that would compromise the integrity of the situation. I bet you were one of the many that dogged Haraldo for drawing up troop positions in the sand and now you would like the government to do just that?

What I'm saying, and have been saying throughout this entire thread is that there is a lot more going on than any of us know or will ever know, so making decisions based on lacking information isn't something I tend to do. I agree that something needed to be done with the situation that was and still is brewing in the middle east, I don't, however, agree with how this war has been fought and many of the decisions that have been made.

In the post 9/11 era and in an age of portable WMDs, GWB has a very tough job keeping up our national security.

An important thing to note is that most of the GWB haters on this board are foreigners. So, what exactly is their committment to keeping our country safe?

Zippo. So I don't think they have much credibility.

This is President Bush's last budget, and the new administration would have to live with the funding decisions.

It's quite simple. Irans leader his insisted many times he wants the nuclear energy for electricity. If we go by the absolutley absurd logic by assuming that he is lying, we would have to assume that Bush is also lying about the intel on Iran, and then you are in a paradox...

logic 101

You don't produce flowers with a nuclear weapons program.

By admitting their nuclear weapons program was frozen they also admitted its existence. :)

They never admitted a nuclear weapons program was in existance.

Read my earlier post, it's not a nuclear weapons program it is a nuclear energy program. The CIA lost all its credibility with Iraq, so basically.

If you are assuming Iran is lying about them making energy. You must also assume the CIA/BUSH is lying about their so called "intel". So your argument is totaly illogical!

This new US intelligence report still claims that Iran has a nuclear weapons program, and implies that Iranians are liars, and Iran welcomes this new report?

Strange reaction.

buzzy 12-04-2007 01:32 PM

Yes, it welcomes a new report because they are no longer beating the war drums. I don't in any way see how that is admitting to building nukes.

Also, no I'm not a "paki" or an arab, but it's nice to admit that you are a racist, losing all your credibility. How old are you, 14?
