Oh come on, that wasnt a good point, it was a luke warm point. Visa doesnt amount to 99% of transactions, so his point applies to Visa, not the full spectrum of payment options.

I've used CCBill for years and years but I can't see the problem with signing up for a program such as ours that use MPA3 with Epoch. It's the same concept as CCBill, if you signup to other Epoch programs your stats are all in the one place and you get 1 big check at the end of the day.

Maybe it's just the alt niches that head for Epoch lol

leave my point alone

visa + mastercard is almost 90% of porn transactions, visa doing the bulk of them, at least in the US. in fact, mastercard has announced that they are adopting a very similar system to what visa did because it has worked so well. they make programs, and somebody in particular, accountable for their content and chargebacks. put somebodies ass on the line. you fuck up, they are going to blacklist you across everywhere. scares the hell out of everyone.

but i said visa because visa is the 800 lb gorilla in the room, the bellwether. mastercard is in the same boat

Just because you don't understand how something works doesn't mean that it doesn't work. ;-)

AmeliaG - you did a great job of explaining this and we are very happy to be working with you.

We've been meticulous in our efforts to design a system that addresses the needs of both program operators and their affiliates. To be perfectly clear, when any sponsor uses the EpochStats program their affiliates do not have to change any of their links. They will continue to work as always. It wouldn't make much sense otherwise.

Affiliates (at the option of the sponsor) may be paid directly by Epoch for all sales regardless of where they were processed. This is a big advantage for many affiliates, especially those in the EU.

The thread-starter mentioned the issue of trust but I don't think he was referring to Epoch or CCBill. They are both proven entities in this space.

Cascading is a great idea if done correctly and with trusted providers.

Yep, I was referring to the program owners doing their own payouts, either themselves or via check writing companies.
