NOTE: I've been out of town all week shooting and stuff, and deliberately avoiding computers. I received a call earlier today about Donny Long's retraction, so here is my response...
Donny, it's good that you are apologizing for your malicious and libelous untrue statement about me scamming and not paying talent. Your admission should be of great benefit if I still decide to pursue legal action against you.
Even though you tried to rationalize it, you basically admitted that you are a liar, and lied about me and my company (although I think it has more to do with your effort to get unbanned than it does in doing the right thing and setting the record straight).
I'm not sure why you say your lie was a retaliation for any post of mine that you are on some female performer's "NO" list. If you recall, I am not the only one whom has indicated that you are on the "No List" of various talent. What lies did you make up about others in retaliation for also saying that your name appears on the "No List" for female talent?
I was writing from firsthand knowledge, not hearsay, and I didn't make it up. I let female talent have input into whom they work with, so I hear from them directly as to whom they will and won't work with. Therefore, there is nothing for me to retract.
Proof? That's easy. What further proof do you need than your ex? She has a lot of friends in the biz, and while she doesn't go around bad mouthing you (to my knowledge), you have vented and ranted about her publicly many times, and said some pretty mean things about her to others.
Then, after they meet and/or work with her, they see what a sweet person she is, and realize that you are the one with the problems that you accused her of. Therefore, they try to steer clear of you, since you come off as emotionally unstable and potentially violent.
FYI, just because people smile and make nice with you when they bump into you at industry events doesn't mean they will ever work with you again. They simply don't want to have to deal with your reputation as a hot-headed person, that will resort to various malicious tactics if he feels wronged in any way (tactics such as spreading lies, calling police on people, etc, - for most people, it's not worth the hassle).
Anyway, I do not need to name other names and then have you stalk those women and try to coerce them to say what they told me was not true. I know what I heard (not that I would have ever hired you anyway, since I heard a long time ago that you were bad news, and your recent words, attitude, and behavior, only reinforce what I already felt about you).
Besides, most rational people can figure out that it stands to reason that many women in the industry would want nothing to do with you, just starting with the ones that you have verbally attacked and called cunts, bitches and whores, and what not, when you talk to various interviewers. I can cite several sources if you need more proof, including in your own writing.
I don't know anyone in the business that has bad mouthed more female performers than you. I'm also somewhat amazed that you can have problems with so many women, and not for a moment think that it might have at least a little something to do with your own personality.
Anyway, there is no quid pro quo for your retraction. I reserve the right to continue expressing my opinions as I see fit.
I don't wish to fight with you or anyone for that matter, but I refuse to be bullied or intimidated by anyone simply for stating the truth or my opinions. The last time I checked, such speech was still protected under the Constitution.
Oh, and one more thing...
