that's so great! I've always wanted to live in Europe, where my ancestors are from (France and Spain), and every day I think more and more that it's the right place to be.
Probably in a couple of years, if all goes well...

France is not the best place to live at - incredible food, BEAUTIFUL WOMEN! great wine / the best healthcare in the world and a country of culture but...

taxes way over the top / everything super socialised / high unemployment rate/ arabic riots / everyone is on the strike once upon a time / 35 hours working week / people in many cases lazy and only asking for money...

Beautiful country to visit, I was in Chamonix, Marseille Arles and Lion and I loved it, but I doubt I would want to live there..:2 cents:

Just to educate you - Slovaks are a slavonic nation, the same as Czechs / Polaks or Russians.

There are minorities who are unsocialisable but here at least they don't kill each other or anyone else..

You have an incredible level of education, what was that ? Little Rock High School? :helpme

what I cant understand is that 24 countries can all share a open border so that it makes trade and travel so easy and yet the USA seems determined to make it harder for canadians to enter thier country.

Is canada high risk? :)

Canada is harder for US citizens to get into than the reverse. Over the years I can recall more Americans not getting into Canada for a show than Canadians not getting into the US for a show. The only real difference is you can buy temporary Canadian residency for cash at the border and voila, you're in Canada.

France and germany are fucked up, everyone should stay away from theese 2 countries.

Why? Very high procent of the population doesnt speak english.
Very high procent of the population thinks that they are the best, THE BEST, so if you try to communicate in english, a high procent of them will get angry at you....

Why dont you speak french/german? - this is what they will think, and this question will then turn into angryness

well, one quarter of germany never learned english, just russian. and both countries have one big disadvantage: they get all their TV shows in their own language, not in english with subtitles like most of the scandinavian countries or the netherlands etc.

and assholes you can find everywhere :2 cents:

That has begun a long long time ago, there are millions of Polish guys all around the world.

Well what can you do for a living in a country with the highest agriculture employement ratio in the EU and only highway that wouldn't be built if there was no world war II and Adolf wouldn't need a way how to supply the eastern front

- I guess that pretty much explains it :2 cents:

The primary purpose of the EU has been ending wars once and for all.
Remember all these countries were more or less in constant war over a millenium until only 60 years ago. Today, a war among EU members is completely unthinkable.

For this alone, the EU with all it's difficulties is a huge success story.

Would agree on that :thumbsup

Germany was also one of the main countries who got to grips with the adult biz decades ago - along with Holland and others. Got a number of good friends there and two were my "mentors" in the adult industry.

That serious biz element sure is a vast difference from the wanker purported "players" in the online industry today :winkwink:

Mind sharing on what you're discussing?

kmanrox 12-24-2007 01:17 AM

so like now, all the criminals in europe will be way harder to find, and all the third world-type countries can drain their citizens to thriving countries and fuck up the balances? smart

Redrob 12-24-2007 01:24 AM

Those border crossing stations make really fine fastfood restaurants and are so convenient being right on the highway.

Matyko 12-24-2007 05:56 AM

Ex-soviet states have no problems here I think...
Taxes are high and people have to work a lot and hard, and especially in Hungary it seemsthe people don't like this after somany decades of communism. But we are not criminals, nothing to be afraid of.

And just to mention these borders are ran by highly experienced and heavily supervised professionals who know exactly what kind of risk is to the EU if bad vehicle/bad package passes the border.

Austria has soooo many fucking people from the east here its not even funny. im not so sure open borders with some of these new Schengen countries was such a good idea. do you really want your security to be ran by ex-soviet states? these people are still way behind the rest of europe and lower wages lead to more corruption and bribery, which in turn leads to smuggling, theft, etc.

now when you steal a car you only have to cross one border instead of two to get it out of the EU. great.

Again, reading this thread helps to understand the situation:

- 99 pct. of the busts never happened on a regular border check and is dependend on an insider information
- this will not affect nor make it easier for the organized crime
- the third world countries wave is going to happen once or the other way, actually many terrorists from Chechnia received the status of the "politically persecuted immigrant" here - it's just needed they need to fill the appropriate form and look sad
- many pickpocket thieves from Romania have moved here long time ago

= it's only less hassle for the usual people and travelers at the end:2 cents:

Well as I always use to mention, it's always easier and more comfortable for 90 pct. of the people to live in communism than in the reform capitalism or transitional pseudo social capitalism as we can see in many former eastern block countries.

I have to check the Budapest soon! :thumbsup
