I don't answer the house phone or the cell unless I know who it is, and lots of times I won't answer it if I do know.

Talking on the phone isn't something I really enjoy. I have been known to return calls when I know full well the person can't take them, that way I can leave a message, and be off the hook in terms of keeping in touch.

i answer all calls but im also not fond of talking on the phone...

I work from home and can get super isolated unless I work at it. All my friends know I will accept almost any invite so I get lots and it helps. Otherwise I would be the unibomber without the fun bomb part.

I would NEVER answer the phone if I didn't recognize the caller.

Same here, but when I do socialize, I much prefer face to face time over telephone time.

I only have one friend who has my number and one family member. That's it. Anyone else who calls me is either from the dentist office, doctors office, or something business related like a bank or a car dealership or solicitor.

I don't know a lot of people so I know EVERY SINGLE PERSON who has my number (and it's only 2 people), if I don't recognize it I don't pick it up because I already know it's a wrong number. Why bother picking it up if I KNOW it's a wrong number?

Not very likely my friend would lose their phone. If I didn't get calls for a long time I would call my friend and ask them why they aren't calling.

My friend is not allowed to give out my number to strangers regardless of how good looking they were and my friend would never do such a thing. I have no interest in talking to new people I don't know over the phone.

I never give out my number to anyone. Ever. I know by heart everyone who has my number. If I don't recognize it I don't pick up.

i answer even if I don´t know who´s calling, but it would definitely help if i´d recognize the number.

I rarely answer numbers I don't know. They can leave a message.

My biz phone however I generally answer unless its a 800 number (generally some company wanting to fund advertising accounts, and wanting me to buy something)

Yea If im with my man and his cell phone rings, I would expect him to pick it up, even if he doesn't know who it is, only because it would aggravate me since he has been unfaithful before.
Although if I'm busy and see a number I don't recognize I just let it go to voicemail too, if they don't leave a message, I'll call them back to see just in case later on. But it is annoying when you see that happen with guys and their with their gf's

If it's important, they will leave a voicemail. I never answer unless I know who it is.

If the number isn't blocked, I'll more than likely answer it because it could be something important....If the number IS blocked, then I answer at my own discretion...

I don't answer anonymous callers but only if they leave me message first and they tell me who they are.

anonymous callers are pretty annoying and sometimes i dont pick up... but my brother always calls me anonymous, the asshole... lol.

I always like to know. Just because someone is calling me when it's convenient to THEM to talk, doesn't mean it's a convenient time for me to talk. Some people talk too long. If I know the number, I can determine if it will be a short or long call and answer accordingly.
