You're gonna make yourself go nuts if you are still waiting for webair. You should be moving on already and chalk it up to experience.:2 cents: Good Luck mate.

I remember reading in 1 of their spam threads recently that webair girrard dude said they have 60+ techs....I nearly pissed in my pants and spit soda all over when I read that bull.

Seriously dude, you should be making other hosting arrangements right now and end all your nightmares.:2 cents:

Just emailed this thread to Michael at webair.

Why would you have downtime ????

Your site is on server1 , with original dns serving it to surfers
Site is also on server2, with new dns.

You switch DNS at the registrar level to the new dns. Depending on location and cache of worldwide dns, surfers either go to server1 or to server2. Full propagation can take up to 48 hours, but most of it is done in 2 - 5 hours.

Sites are never down ... :2 cents:

highly unusual? HAHAHAHAHAHA

don't make me laugh harder

i remember my webair experience...like 4 years ago, started with virtual like this guy, just to try the waters...in the first month I accumulated approx 20 hours of downtime on my sites and was eventually given almost 6 months of free service for the fuck up, but what good is free service when the shit never works?

reading all the threads about webair fucking up since then makes me cringe when I see people sign up for them

Yes HIGHLY UNUSUAL...

Jace I invite you to come back and try us again we've made stellar upgrades and have all new management (Alot can happen in 4 years =)) I don't know the particulars of your issues 4 years ago but i am sure you would be happy with our services now... And yes I would expect that we would & should have more posts on this board than any other host both bad and good, as we have been in business for 11+ years and host a lot more clients than what your comparing us to.

This situation will be handled just like we handle anything else that may arise quickly and efficiently. Thanks for bump jace!

hell no, I am with natnet now, can't get any better than that...the threads started on all the forums about how much webair screws up is just too much for me, and working on peoples blogs on webair servers let's me know nothing has really changed much since I was there

Do you believe the garbage that you spew?...LOL the reason you have more bad support or downtime threads than most other hosts is NOT because you host more people than other hosts it's because your support is bottom of the barrel compared to most other hosts. How's those 60+ techs working out for you..LMAO that still cracks me up.:1orglaugh

webair 02-09-2008 10:57 AM

Jace look around most of the host your comparing us to don't even offer virtual hosting. While we choose to embrace the newest and latest technologies others choose to run from it =) Listen to what your saying...our dedicated, virtual and managed services are second to none. We host thousands of servers if we have a complaint about a $9.95 client every now and again I can accept that. Issues are bound to happen...it's how we deal with them that counts and separates us from your typical host.

Again, like any other issue that should arise we will handle it professionally and efficiently as we handled this one :)

I'm starting to think this is a personal issue you have with me. Are you still upset at me for not allowing you to DJ at our event? sigh...

Speak easy - its over 60 now!

my last plan was postponed 3-4 days from the final eta date (1.5 weeks for completion) not too long ago. i'm not about to let this one be postponed that long again.

contacting you now.

eMonk 02-09-2008 11:31 AM

it would be nice to have a techie that you could talk to over icq like the rest of these hosts & not by email support to coordinate an upgrade such as this one. problem with email support are the response times. i have not heard from the manager assigned to this work order for the past 24 hrs now - its stressful. :(

I thought they had live support.

cykoe6 02-09-2008 11:36 AM

I have had good luck with Webair in my 5 years with them. Upgrades do sometimes take a while but there is not ussually any downtime. Their live support is very good imo.

in the "virtual" i have with webair ... I just added an ip moved a blog from another host, updated the database in about 10 minutes or so. I thought that was pretty good compared to some places I've been in the past.

I just ordered some dedicated servers from them. hope it doesn't take 3 weeks though:Oh crap

Are you kidding us? It took a 2 page thread and a week just to get the simplest of support out of webair.:1orglaugh:1orglaugh That is basically Pathetic to say the least, In any case best of luck to you and remember to bookmark this thread sio next week when you have more webair issues can pick a better host easy without needing to start a new thread.:winkwink:

I've had downtime every fucking day for nearly a week and a support ticket open for just as long. I get zero responses to support e-mails. None. Nothing. Not a single fucking response.

Yes, that does truly separate you from a typical host.

The only fucking way to get Webair's attention is to post on GFY :2 cents:

Hunter_ST 02-10-2008 02:21 AM

A telephone call does wonders, especially if you have a critical need or issue.

I've recently had Webair techs bend over backwards to get a dedicated box online for me.
