Warchild, your comparison of a crack cocaine binge and a cleanse are like comparing apples and beef jerky.
It helps flush the body from all the shit (toxins)that is put in our foods now a days. If you are an athlete that works out all the time and eats pretty healthy..there is not a whole lot of reason to do it. To someone who has been eating like shit (Ive met some of you and I know that GFY has a major weight problem) but is otherwise healthy..its good for you in moderation. |

To claim that these "cleansing" diets, which are supported by no scientific evidence what so ever actually are beneficial to your health is just crazy. |
I was recommended to do this by an "Ex Chippendale" ... I thought it was shit. Drinking salt water in the morning fucks you up big time. My arse felt like a water fountain on NOS. Yeah you can loose weight - body water - start eating carbs again afterwards and you'll put it straight back on.
If you wanna be healthy eat 6 meals a day. |

If you want something healthy that you can drink, here is my recipe for a banana blueberry smoothie: Blend: 1 cup of fat free milk 1/4 cup of crushed ice 1/2 a fozen banana cut up into slices 1 large handful of fresh or frozen blueberries 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder. Its delicious on a hot day! |

Thanks Jim, thats pretty much my breakfast and after workout drink daily. homemade shakes are great for you yes. This is all about mind control for me now, it's good to challenge your mind and body from time to time. |
Careful going 10 days on your first time. I have heard many say that you should really get your body adjusted to this sort of thing by doing 2 days at first, then 4, then 8 or whatever to work into it. I dont know shit but just passing on what i heard from multiple people ;-)

never done it personally, know a guy who went nearly 30 days without food. your stomach basically shuts down completely after a couple of days. if you start feeling hungry again after that point then should likely begin ingesting nutrients again. there are right and wrong ways to fast.
the guys is right in saying theres really no evidence that fasting increases toxin removal but also 7-10 days without food isnt gonna harm you though. the salt water just doesnt sound like a great idea though. |
