diving is national character of many russian players e.g. Ovechkin, Bure, Kovalchuk.

Heidi Rabbit 04-17-2008 01:00 PM

The Montreal Canadians! DUH?!?!!?:1orglaugh

.. and so is scoring a shitload of highlight reel goals, so it's a trade-off
:thumbsup

btw, Sir Ovechkin may be the most intimidating player (to other team's goalies and coaches at least) since Jagr or Lemieux. He's that good.

Habs opened the scoring. Ovechkin got the assist so far.

so how about that Carter dive.

little embellishment but not a dive. Dive=Crosby. AO=The MAN!

go penguins

CDSmith 04-18-2008 01:02 PM

Devs could get eliminated tonight.

Detroit needs to get their shit together. They looked great in the first few games but lately they aren't cutting it. Hopefully them pulling Hasek and putting in Osgood does something for them.

Ducks could have their season ended for them tonight too, but if not I'd be surprised if they hang on to win this series. Dallas is looking too strong for them. Who would have thunk the defending cup holders would fold like this.

adult-help 04-18-2008 01:02 PM

two series can end up today. gonna be a trilling thing to watch.

BradM 04-18-2008 02:09 PM

The ducks are gone. Don't ask how or why... I don't get it. There is something wrong with the team. They are NOT playing their usual game at all in this series.

I think Giguere is injured man. HE has not played up to his level so far and he may have rushed himself back from that injury he sustained near the end of the season. The rest of the team has no excuses. With Pronger, Niedermayer, Schneider, Beauchemin as your defensive core there is absolutely no excuse for them playing the way they are. I wouldn't count them out but it will be tough to come back from 3 - 1

adult-help 04-18-2008 11:39 PM

nevertheless 3-2 in their series.

Fap 04-18-2008 11:41 PM

Every game is like a Cup Final in Montreal, that's just how big Hockey is for us. Plus they were expected to win this series much easier so winning this game 7 was like proving every body right.

Boston will be a force next season though, they proved it.

Lord Stanley's Holy Grail is gonna come back to its rightful home!!

As for the cop cars and all, well it's that small percentage of idiots you'll find in every major city who'll take any big event to create havoc and try to make the rest of us look bad.. real shit heads, but it doesn't take away yesterday's amazing win! :thumbsup

Pens sharks final....pens will take her

adult-help 04-22-2008 10:20 AM

he-he, sharks' second round appearance is a big question now )))

Kevsh 04-22-2008 11:38 AM

I'm starting to think the Rangers may be the upset finalist in the East, they manhandled the Devils. In the West, I still don't trust the Sharks - in their 10 playoff appearances they've gotten past the 2nd round exactly once. The Stars recent history isn't much better but they look solid, and the Red Wings are still a soft team.

So it's not much of a limb at the end of the first round, but I'll say it's Rangers and Stars in the final and the New Yorkers win the Cup.

You completely overlooked the Penguins. Not sure why, they completely owned Ottawa.

Looks like because of Montreal's win over Boston that it will be a Pens-Rangers matchup next. THAT is going to be a damn good series, I just know it.

Agreed though, whomever wins that series will be very hard to beat in the cup final.

So that's why Boston couldn't score a goal, you were the reason of distraction behind Price?

woot!
i am glad we both agree on NY.
NY vs. PIT i think is a good matchup. big bodies, gritty play and solid "D" verses super "O" talent and bright stars.

the sharks are shaky. while they may pass Dallas, i dont think they could win against COL or DET. both Dallas and ANA both looked poor. i could be wrong about COL beating SJ. I did not watch many COL games.

how many games will it take the Habs to beat Philly? :1orglaugh

they owned ottawa because the sens started sucking a bag of dicks a few months ago! fool...

how about boston?! fucking excellent series (minus that last game rout)

adult-help 04-23-2008 02:13 AM

JR put a quite a show tonight showing sharks made no mistake siging him at teh begining of the season. Maybe he is that play-off experience sharks were lacking in their previous 9 post-season tries.

You punks, always with the namecalling. *sigh*

So in your clouded biased mind the Pens are zero threat because the team they eliminated "sucked", completely overlooking the fact that they finished well ahead of the Rangers in the standings.

Now fool, do you really think the pens aren't worth mentioning? Give me a break.

Maybe I should have gone with Dallas over SJ.

Any team that calls it's home arena "The Shark Tank" is just begging for elimination.
