Outside of the big cities in the USA, most Americans have a void of fashion sense as well. Though if it's shorts and sneakers you are talking about in regards to Thailand (or on holiday in general), it's because of the heat. I think Americans are more about comfort even if it means they look sloppy at times, self included. I prefer jeans but if it's hot outside, I'm in shorts no matter if it's day or night. Jeans make me sweat too much. Plus, in Thailand, there is no real reason to dress to impress the whores. They will fuck you even if you look like a Russian. :1orglaugh :upsidedow
