Maybe a German word but we brew it here in the USA :thumbsup

Those of you questioning why people are picking The USA, it not because of the mass produced beers like Bud, Miller and the like, those are trash.
There is a HUGE subculture of micro breweries here that would rival most anything found in Europe, most do not export their beer so its not your fault for being ignorant about their existence.

My choice would be the US for the vast selection that is unrivaled anywhere

PerrieBelle 04-11-2008 10:57 AM

Blurgh... Beer is gross...

Give me rose wine or spirits any day :D

Blazed 04-11-2008 11:00 AM

Shey 04-11-2008 11:04 AM

I can't do without my Corona or my Dos Equis so Mexico for me!

JenniDahling 04-11-2008 11:16 AM

Belize or So Africa

Brother Bilo 04-11-2008 12:27 PM

As good as beer is from everywhere in the world, I just couldn't give up the microbrews from the good ole USA. Just the beer that comes out of Portland would be enough to swing the vote.

v4 media 04-11-2008 12:51 PM

My daily beer is san miguel, just cause its cheaper than water. but 1 country probably Belgium cause they've got a great range.

BiggleJones 04-11-2008 12:59 PM

Mexico fo sho!

Japan would be second

ThumbLord 04-11-2008 01:00 PM

Belgium: Palm
Kingdom of the Netherlands: Gulpen Dort

Kard63 04-11-2008 01:01 PM

I prefer light watered down domestics form the US.

potter 04-11-2008 01:10 PM

america. although alot of people don't understand that answer because of the mainstream companies/beer like budwieser and miller or whatever. here in colorado we have the highest brewery per capita in the entire country, and i can safely say with all my heart there is some amazing beer here. im talking beer that competes with guiness. which is brewed in the same bar im getting it off the tap from. :)

DCMAdee 04-11-2008 01:11 PM

Belgium, no thought, no question.

SinisterStudios 04-11-2008 01:20 PM

Belgium, i dont think i could live without a Hoe or a Duvell

JP-pornshooter 04-11-2008 01:25 PM

Denmark: Carlsberg or Tuborg but they have many micro brews as well..
second would be Ireland, dont care much for kraut bier..

Xxxavier 04-11-2008 01:40 PM

Don't get me wrong, there are some great choice's made in this thread.
Belgium, German, Australia, Ireland etc...

From the hundreds of U.S. micro-brews, I can have a differant Great beer each an every day of the year. That's why I choose the U.S.A.

There was a club I used to go to several years ago, they had hundreds of beers to choose from. Thats when I started appreciate the micro-brews that the U.S. had to offer.

Violetta 04-11-2008 01:45 PM

Denmark... :)

Bex 04-11-2008 01:56 PM

Either Canada or Belgium, Germany is obv up there too.

Sveindt Beindt 04-11-2008 03:32 PM

Danish beer rocks :pimp

MaDalton 04-11-2008 03:40 PM

i just had a couple of really nice czech Pilsener Urquell - would be hard to give that up - lol

and germany has like 1300 breweries with i don't know how many different types of beer - that makes probably 10 years a different beer each day - lol

but i understand that when you grow up with a certain taste its hard to change

Basic_man 04-11-2008 03:46 PM

It's all about the Germany !

M0nk 04-11-2008 06:15 PM

Axeman 04-11-2008 06:23 PM

Belgium for me. Germany would be 2nd. And Canada 3rd.

stfucash_edd 04-11-2008 06:47 PM

Germany! Specifically Bavarian beer... some of the best Doppelbocks in the world! Also home of my favorite, Spaten Optimator.

PS:
I rate beers for RateBeer

Spunky 04-11-2008 06:49 PM

I like Italian beer

seeric 04-11-2008 11:05 PM

HANDS DOWN!!!!!

BELGIUM

NO DOUBT ABOUT IT

I sold beer for 5 years, many countries, many imports, and belgium by far impressed me most. Chimay and Corsendonk are a few of my favorites.

Spaten Optimator tastes like the beer version of a train wreck. You may as well drink Beck's Dark or just drink some diarrhea.

But I have to pick Germany. Partially because I'm a Kraut. My favorite beer comes from a small brewery I used to live 10 minutes away from in Germany. I also love Franziskaner Dunkel.

Belgium is definitely 2nd on the list and I'm not even going to bother ranking anything other than that.

herbalot 04-13-2008 12:58 AM

Poland's "Tyskie", hands down.

Redrob 04-13-2008 01:02 AM

Asahi, Kirin, and Sapporo hired the best German and Belgian brewmasters. If you haven't tried some of the more unusual Japanese beers, you are missing a treat.

Probably the only thing i am keen on in Czech Rep is the beer, so I would pick this one, and either the original bohemian Budweiser or some smaller brewery that won't get fucked by huge global company buying it..

If I would want to go through HELL for the rest of my life I would pick Fosters - I am sure Aussies can brew better beer than that!

Mate as I am an Aussie living in the czech Rep for many years I can honestly say the Czech beer is great and as for Fosters - We do not drink it in Oz thats why we export it to the rest of the world - we hate it ;)
