"Driving" a car that's basically coasting on its own weight across the street, I'd guess has about the same amount of chance to hurt/kill/maim someone as riding a bicycle. Less perhaps. I would ride a bike a lot harder than I coast across the street with no insurance, for certain.

Colin, I think that amount is per MILE not per GALLON. Tom's the one who said it wrong the first time though.

I personally am fully insured. However in that instance the infant would still be killed. Only difference is hopefully I have enough insurance that they still do not come after me for more money above and beyond that.
