Congratulations! I think you did a smart thing to plan a big wedding later. I did that and saved money and simply enjoyed the big party later with family and friends but kept the ceremony special for ourselves. I love Costco and your absolutely right, much better value for the bling...

depends on the girl - i know a few marriages with similar age differences that worked.
