On the subject of remakes not content with flogging a dead horse with halloween sequels they remake the first basically mediocre but if they still make money they still keep making crap whatever and thats business. 'Cloverfield' and 'diary of the dead' i hate this cam look style film making. I think in the 80s talking about the horror genre they managed to get a real feel to the films and i would recommend 'day of the dead' not the remake. The days i would get excited over new film releases are long gone and i doubt i will ever frequent a theatre ever again. Anybody ever seen 'Terrovision'?

HowlingWulf 05-19-2008 05:54 PM

What? Nobody mentioned Highlander 2!!!!

"...this sequel to the cult classic sci-fi action film largely discards the original's premise. Instead of being mysterious immortal swordsmen, Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) and Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobo Ramirez (Sean Connery) are revealed to be long-lived aliens. Reunited, the pair now battle an evil corporate cartel bent on dominating an ozone-depleted Earth's dwindling natural resources."

Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry met Lloyd

GrouchyAdmin 05-19-2008 06:04 PM

Almost everyone of them. Except the 'Naked Gun' films.

What? no way. all the kill bill movies were awesome.

evildick 05-19-2008 06:12 PM

The direct to video Dusk Till Dawn remakes were pretty stupid too. I think there was a couple of them.

DollarKing 05-19-2008 06:56 PM

Anyone seen Poison ivy:the new seduction?
I thought jaime pressley made a good dominatrix in it.

Kard63 05-19-2008 07:10 PM

a lot of threads like these don't usually have good answers. Apparently people have thought of this before, lol. A lot of them are right on the money.

After Shock Media 05-19-2008 07:34 PM

Howling 2
Highlander 2
Halloween 3
Psycho 2,3,4 etc.
Another 28 days (or whatever it was called)
Not another (teen/scary/etc) movie.

Starship Trooper 2

Talk about fall from grace!

That was the first movie that came to my mind :thumbsup

Whoever said Rambo, NO! Rambo gets BETTER with every sequel. If you're a Morrell fan I'l let you get away with calling First Blood the best. You have to put your brain into 12-year old boy mode when you watch a Rambo movie. Only then do you appreciate the beauty.

Matrix hands down for me, as that was an awesome sleeper of a flick with a novel and engaging story that seemed to be setting up a legendary sequel. Matrix 2 spoiled it for me so much that I have boycotted the third movie and still have yet to see it.

Spunky 05-19-2008 07:44 PM

Nothing ever compares to the original..people expect them to be better but are disappointed

AMDWarrior 05-19-2008 08:32 PM

Indiana Fargin Jones they should have left it dead and buried..

M0nk 05-19-2008 09:45 PM

People have picked on halloween3 before i fail to understand why as it offered something different from usual unoriginal factory belt slashing scripts.
The first fridaythe13th was incredibly boring. The remakes of 'the fog' and 'amityville horror' were dire. In fact all these remakes are just plain crap.
They still make money. Why is indiana jones making a comeback?
There's suppose to be a ghostbusters 3 soon!

Supz 05-19-2008 09:56 PM

I didn't mind Karate Kid 2 that much and it had to be better than the one they did with the girl (Hillary Swank btw)

Porno Dan 05-20-2008 10:38 AM

Revenge of the Nerds 3

No way!!!!

Psycho was a classic but 2 was a good movie and 3 was above average. Yes, i agree that Psycho IV was a big let down but then it was a made for TV type movie.

You cant put this in the category of worst movie sequel of all time!!!!!!!!!

I liked Halloween 3....had it been named something other than Halloween 3, I think people would have enjoyed it more...it was a fun, cheesy end of the world movie...ok, so I'm one of 6 people who own it on DVD....

I would say Blood Rayne 2, but in all honesty the first one was a monstrous piece of shit all on its own so its hard to say which was worse, the original or the sequel.

Andy Servers4Less 05-20-2008 11:20 AM

Do you believe they had the audacity to make "American Pycho 2"?

TubeTitans_SusieQ 05-20-2008 11:20 AM

I ave to say Grease 2 as well , and Dirty Dancing Havana Nights.......unfortunately there are more than just those two

Kudles 05-20-2008 11:23 AM

I think some of the Rocky movies sucked.
